Hello, and welcome to my first guide, guide to Master Yi.I hope you like it, and I'm sorry for mistakes in it.

Pros

+Awesome damage
+Amazing in chasing
+Great escaping
+Easy to play
+Nice harass
+Can be played either as AD, or AP bu

Cons
-Squishy early game
-Vulnerable to CC
-Doesnt have any CC
-Melee(easy to harass)

So, I use Armor Penetration runes, over Attack damage ones.Why?Simple.AD Runes might be better early on, for easier last hitting, and some more damage, but with Armor Pen. runes early on u have nearly TRUE damage, and they scale MUCH better into late game.Seals and Glyphs are, of course, for defence.

So, I use 21/9/0 mastery tree, taking 21 points in offence, 9 in defence and 0 in utility.

Passive:Double Strike
Master Yi strikes twice every 7th attack.

This is a NICE passive, it litterally DOUBLES ur damage each 7th strike, early on try using it on champions, and if none are around, then just use it for easier last hit.Paired with Attack Speed this passive is a beast.



Alpha Strike
Cost:60/70/80/90/100
Master Yi leaps across the battlefield with blinding speed, dealing 100/150/200/250/300 magic damage to 4 enemies, with a chance to deal bonus magic damage to minions.

This will be ur initiation skill, and also ur harassing skill.Use it on minions to farm/harass(use it on minion and u will hit a nearby champion).You can also use it to escape, when u run from an enemy, and there are enemy minions in front of u, alpha strike to furthest one.


Meditate
Cost:70/85/100/115/130
Master Yi rejuvinates his body by focus of mind, restoring health and increasing his armor and magic resistance for a short time.

A very underrated spell, it helps u to stay in lane longer, if ur getting harassed its worth leveling up a bit more earlier, and later on its resistances can help you.If u are turret diving, and u stay on low hp after, start meditate and you will get more armor for turret shots, regain some health and then just run away.Did it countless times, works almost always.

Wuju Style
Cost:40/40/40/40/40
Master Yi becomes skilled in the art of Wuju, passively increasing the power of his physical attacks.Activating Wuju Style doubles the passive bonus for a short time, but passive bonus is temporarily removed after the effect wears off.

Your best skill as an AD Yi, it gives u passively increased damage(Yes, it works with Double Strike)and actively, but i use active only when im surely ready to seal the deal for a kill, or to destroy a turret.You can activate it and still keep passive, by scoring a kill while ur ult is active.

Highlander
Cost:100/100/100
Master Yi moves with unparalleled agility temporarily increasing Master Yi's movement and attack speeds, as well as making him immune to all slowing effects.Additionally, killing a Champion refreshes all cooldown(assists lower half of cooldowns).

Ur ultimate skill, very nice, gives u a huge attack and movement speed boost, makes u immune to slows, making you a nice chaser/escaper.Additionally if u kill somebody while its active, it refreshes all cooldowns.Very nice.

Well, this is an AD Yi build, so we're leveling Wuju Style up first.Take a point in alpha strike for farming/harassing/initiating, and max Wuju.Also take 1 or 2 points in Meditate, so u can take more harassment and stay in lane longer.So its pretty much like this.


Highlander<Wuju Style<Alpha Strike<Meditate

Flash

This spell is just AWESOME.Altough some people preffer ghost, i like Flash more.Master Yi's ult is similar to Ghost anyways.With flash u can go trough walls, escape, chase, ANYTHING.Awesome spell.



Ignite

Great for picking up first blood and early on kills, when they think they can escape with low HP.Also great for reducing healing, like lifesteal and heals etc.



Other Viable Choices


Heal

A good spell, very popular lately.You can use it to kite the enemies, and use it when they are expecting it the least.

Teleport
With this u can pretty much stop ganks, gank, stop pushers, and more.Great for travelling across map(its also very cool if u have a Teemo).

Cleanse
Removes all CC, and reduces some after that.Removes Yi's weakness - CC.


Exhaust

Its great because Yi has no real CC, and for shutting off their carry.And for chasing enemy.

Clarity
This should be on support/caster.

Revive
This is just a horrible spell.



This should be on support.


This shouldnt be on anybody.

So, the build from Cheat Sheet is the one I use.









Other viable item choices

Good if you are focused, and if u want some more survivability.Also notice that they will not tend to focus u if u have this, because they know u'll respawn.


Say what?!Enemy is stacking armor?!Black cleaver will solve it.And it gives u a nice AD/AS boost with it.A good item overall.

This, combined with ur ult, means TWICE THE BOOST.Works nice, i used it so much times...also gives u crit chance and ad, as well as some Armor Pen.

Well, if u think u'll get fed and have a lot of stacks, go ahead, buy it.If you do make a lot of stacks, it'll pay off.
