Hello all! This is my first guide and on my favorite champion, Master Yi. I am open to any and all constructive criticism, and am open to any ways to help. I just ask that you don't vote down unless you read it and offer some useful feedback. I have seen many a Yi, and it is my opinion that an atk speed Yi is fearsome to behold.

To be honest, I am at level 19, and do not have very many runes. I am waiting to 20 before I start spending on runes because they would all be replaced anyway. The runes listed are projected runes, and so I can't really testify to their quality. I just think that success is based on your ability to funnel damage into an opponent as quickly as possible, and it never hurts to crit.

Again, these are for someone who is at level 19, but if you continue to the end of the atk tree, you can then just flow over to utility. The atk tree choices are pretty straight forward, pump atk spd and crit as you go. Once I fill the atk tree I will jump over to utility, and pick up all the ranks of good hands, so that I can get back in the fight faster and awareness for leveling speed.

I go with the boots of speed just because of...well, the speed. Yi is already pretty quick, and those boots make him zip like nobody's business. Sword of the Divine is a really good item to me. It gives a big boost to atk speed, and rewards you for it with damage. Phantom Dancer is just phantom dancer. Yes, another sword. Let me stop here and say that unless SoD doesn't stack with itself, this is really good. It further boosts your speed, and giving some "umph" when going against hardier champs. Black Cleaver. It pumps damage, and shreds armor. I don't really end up getting past this point because by now I have long since had everything I need to clear lanes and inhibitors.

Wuju style first, for the possible FB, then just alternate with alpha strike until lvl 6, grab the ult, wash rinse repeat until you have both WS and AS maxed, the work on meditate, because it's been worthless for me before that everytime.

I use teleport to get into the fight quick, and exhaust because it combos well when teleporting to a battle with armored champs.

Pros:
[*] Atk speed will let him handle most any building in a matter of 6-8 secs.
[*] He can ult his way through slows and such
[*] Very mobile
[*] Great damage funnel.

Cons:
[*] The glass cannon is made of glass. Can be nuked out of existence, especially early on.
[*] Item dependent, and doesn't shine till level 6.
[*] Ranged characters will eat him. Whole. Without asking.

Attack speed. That's what it boils down to. Yi's passive rewards you for attacking quick. Abuse that ability, and pump his attacks a bit, and you have everything you need to see a victory.
