Hello, this is my first guide and it is on Yorick. He is my favorite top/mid champion. I usually play him top but he can also be used as a backup for mid usually you win as they will be running around while your ghouls chase them :).

For runes I reccomend using 9 Greater Marks of Strength, 9 Greater Seals of Replenishment, 9 Greater Glyphs of Warding, and 3 Greater Quintessesnce of Strength. In other words flat AD Marks and Quints, Mana Regen seals, and flat Magic Resist Glyphs. Why AD Marks and Quints? are usefull for the early damage and sustain from his life steal ghoul (E). Why Mana Regen seals? Yorick is a very mana hungry champion he needs all the mana regen he can get. Why Magic Resist Glyphs? These are there for that extra little bit of tankyness you need they can also be swaped out for Armor Glyphs.

I take the 9, 0, 21 route for the extra experience, mana regen, and cooldown reduction.

The items can be moved around based on what is going on in your lane. If the person you are up against deals absolutly no damage get manamune right away after boots. Do they use alot of basic attacks? If so get frozen heart after boots. Do they have alot of Ability Power? If so then get Spirit Visage after boots. Do they deal a decent amount of damage but not enough where it will zone you away from the minions? If so then get Warmogs for the higher sustain of that damage.
