Introduction

Hey hey fokes. Now there's been quite the speculation on this new champ, most of it negative due to him being "Gimped". The most interesting part is that this champ has the ability to drop hp like crazy, tank in a one v one, and even destroy a 1 v 2 if played right. From here I'll explain the positives and negatives of this champ, but before I do any of that, lets get into the runes.

Runes

Firs things first, i'll explain each rune and it's use to Yorick

Marks of Desolation: Armor penetration

Now if your new to this champ, you'll have seen he's average at everything, but he's a melee champ, his Q skill called Omen of War charges his melee up, like Nasus's. Armor pen = more power when you drive your damage home, not to mention giving your minions armor pen as well, since everything you do is melee based (Excluding some skills).

Seals of Resilience: Armor.

Yorick is Squishy, Especially early on. Extra defense = longer life time, not much else to say on it.

Glyphs of Warding: Magic Resistance.

Again like the armor seals, ment to keep you alive longer.

Quintessences of Desolation: Armor pen.

See Marks for example.

Lets move on to masteries shall we?

Masteries

Ahhh, good old masteries. Lets discuss why a 21/0/9 is so useful for him.

Working in the fact that he's squishy already, he's given the runes to hold him up till level 6. Since he is also "magical" based due to 2 of his skills causing magic damage when they are summoned, you'll need magic pen mastery. since his skills are basically required to do enough dps, he needs cool down masterys in the offence tree, just enough to get him by early on. Each mastery is very important to increase his dps in later stages as well, wile remaining very tanky due to items. witch is what's next on the list.

Items

Ok With Yorick, He's VERY VERY weak and low on mana, eats through it like it was candy, and cant recover for it. To counter this problem, We buy a Manamune. It adds mana, and more importantly damage. With Yorick, the more damage you pump in, the stronger he gets. ALL of his skills scale with damage, more attack damage he gets more dangerous to any one attacking him. After that, we need to cool his skills off faster, so movement and cool down can be gained with the boots I suggested. Fallowing that, You get the Frozen mallet, Adding his tankability with hp, and still offering his attack damage, and even a mini boost to slow down. Then we shoot right for Crit strike, as well as the most damage added with Infinity Edge (Excluding the Sword of the cult).
After that we add life steal with Blood Thurster, witch then his normal can heal, and you add his E skill, omen of famine (Witch is also a life stealing skill). This leads to a very tanky life stealing guy. Add on Trinity Force for the ability proc to power up Omen of war, and you start to dish out masive damage wile remaining tanky, even adding hp, damage, mana, all the nice things in life XD.

OH whats this, i was talking about skills...well lets move on to that.

Skill Sequence

Ok fokes, now for the "Niddy Griddy". The reason we max out Omen of Pest is for the aoe damage, and slowing effect. It can clear out groups of minions, slow enemy champs down, and all of this wile casting MAGIC damage, yes fokes, a skill that scales with physical damage and deals magic. It's a nice off set that can cause problems for enemies. Now we only go with two into Omen of Famine to keep him alive, witch btw also deals magic damage, an max out omen of war after petulance. Always put a point when ever possible into your Omen of death, this is like having two champs with you at all times, the cool down is only 60 seconds or so when your set with items, giving you an upper hand in most fights, and EVEN IF they manage to kill you before the omen dies, it brings you back AGAIN to crush the enemy who attempted to kill you. Omen of death is what I call the Equalizer, giving you a chance for if/when they kill you to return the favor.
