Great guide, but you can't have a 13/18/0 mastery tree. That is too many points.

Thank you for this wonderful guide, I won four games in a row as Support Volibear using your tips! Keep up the great work.

Cheers!

Now, I do agree with you in some spots on the guide not being visually appealing to all, I am not the best coder nor do I have the time to put into it. I visited your guide and I thought it was rather well done so kudos.

As to reference the Good/Situational Items. It is true I didn't not mention them anywhere in the guide itself EXCEPT for one spot. The notes that is directly next to the title of that set of items. Granted not everyone reads those notes, I understand that, but I put the notes there for a reason and decided with the busy schedule that I had, I did not have time to simply talk about every item.

I know that the guide needs work, I know that the guide isn't perfect. Moving past that, I did fill the guide with solid information that the player can use, not just with Volibear, but with an overall general support guide.

Thank you for putting in your 2 cents to the guide though! I will definitely look into updating the guide when I actually have the luxury of doing so.

The build itself looks really good for a support Volibear. It makes sense and works. I have to say though your guide is lacking a lot of good aesthetics. I think having a picture where of where you would ward would help people. I also have to ask why don't the items have any stats listed for them? And why would you put in the Good/Situational items but not talk about them anywhere in the guide? You should try to add who would synergize with Volibear. Characters with early game damage such as Lucian, Graves and Twitch would work really well with him. I would re-evaluate the status of Alistar because if you try to engage on him he can easily let you flip him and then he can knock you out of position with a Headbutt Pulverize combo. Have you thought of running Ignite as a support if your are going to play super aggressive?

Secondly discuss how to deal with each enemy as well. Kiting and using the bushes against a poke comp on botlane is a very good strategy but what if Zyra put all of her mana-less seeds in the bush?

Voli is my favorite support. He does a great job at setting up kills for champs, especially when you play aggressive with him.

Plus, when you build him tanky, I don't mind taking all the damage for my ADC (And sometimes taking the death for them); but it can be worth it.

Glad others appreciate him! Gonna try those masteries out next time I play.

Thanks man.

Hi Kuriji! Thank you for the reply and questions. The main thing I start to do is when I get fed, be it from the accidental KS or I just plain worked for it, I tend to make the more situational items. Such as the Black Cleaver, Atma's Impaler, Zephyr, or Trinity Force. These are strong items on Volibear. I also still prefer to build him tanky because it's my preferred play-style.

What you should do if you get fed as the support and you are helping carry the game, build tanky/damage. The Black Cleaver is a great item for this as well as the Sunfire Cape with its passive. At the same time, build to how you play or what the situation calls for. Volibear can definitely carry a game as well as help your team get fed. I hope I was able to answer some of these questions and that you try out Volibear.

Have a good day :3

Hey Cactus! What do you do if you're fed? Do you still build tank, or do you build damage?

I know your W scales off of health, but is it really THAT reliable? I see it as a finisher move to bite people's faces off... But can you REALLY just rely on that to win? I was told by Roflgator: "The best supports can carry the game themselves." I'm looking for a champion that can do exactly that.

Anyways, best regards.

Thanks for the advice. I'll give the masteries a try today. I will also work on the formatting of the guide as well throughout the day. I want to make it as user-friendly as possible because not a lot of people want to take the time to read all the information.

As a melee support which purpose is to initiate you might consider 0/21/9 Masteries or at least more defense choices.

Flash is overall one of the best escapes in the game. You can also use it to chase an enemy down, as well as let you initiate and successfully pull off Thundering Smash.

I suggest you using columns to create something like this above to make your guide looking more appealing to the reader.
