Am I crazy or am I misremember them making the first wave have a ghost effect so you couldn't pull them to set the lane up to push to you if your opposite number wasn't in lane to contest you doing it.

If I'm not crazy (seen it done on a couple of streams of late), was that intentional, or did they break it when they changed how minions behave earlier. If it was intentional did Riot give a reason?

And not crazy.

Patch 9.4 Notes

First wave of top and bot lane minions are ghosted for longer after spawning.

This change addresses some edge cases and unintuitive interactions that (pro) players can use to interfere with the first minion wave of the game.
GHOSTED The first wave of top and bot lane minions are ghosted for 18 ⇒ 28 seconds after spawning (mid lane minions unchanged at 18 seconds of ghosting)
