A jungler is a champion that goes in the jungle at level 1 and stays there for a few levels, killing the monsters there to level up instead of staying in a lane. This means that you now have two solo lanes, a jungler, and a dual lane, instead of two dual lanes and a solo lane. A good jungler can keep up with a solo laner in terms of levels, so you'll essentially have three strong champions to a team without a jungler's one. In addition, a jungler needs to be a strong ganker, especially since they can pick up lizard buff.
In-game, you can type /w and then insert the summoner name of your friend there. If you wanted to message me, you can type /w JebusMcAzn <insert message here>.
I know there's a more efficient way to do this - I've seen TreeEskimo do it, but I'm not sure what it is. I'd like very much to know. :D

Also if a friend writes to you from PvP.net and you are ingame, you can simply reply by typing:
/r XXXXXXX
the /r will automaticly insert the name of the player that whispered you most recently.

all three of them are physical carries ie champions with high "right klick" dmgoutput ^^
you should try other roles as you will have to be able to fill al the roles in a team as you try to get up to higher ranks. These other roles would be AP (ability power =casters) Tank (veeery bulky charakters^^) Support (eg janna, zilean) these are the main roles exept for carries (i hope i didnt forget anything^^). Being able to understand all of the roles will drastically improve your overall gameplay xD and i think nobody would say no to that
