Rammus would have to be in the jungle his last hits are terrible in lane.
Kog Maw is a solid AP champ now REALLY squishie though and easy to pick off even though he out ranges all champs save those with global ultis. Good tank killer with Madreds Blood Razor too (as AD)
Akali is a solid assassin but she needs to have items to be really effective. And because she is melee it's really hard to do your job against some champs that can CC you.
Alistar is a solid pick but you have to be extremely good at 2 things. Flash Pulverizing then immidiately positioning yourself to knock the enemy back. 2nd thing is mastering the Headbutt Pulverize. Where you headbutt someone and before they are knocked back you instantly pulverize knocking them up in the air.
Teemo is a great tank killer once you get Blood Razor. However there are better AD champs who can do more for a team, specifically Ashe for her crystal arrow initiations as well as her poke. Teemo shrooms are nice but once an enemy walks over it you just lost a ward.
Overall not terrible but you'll get Royaly stomped by a team like:
Amumu Jungle, Ashe Bot, Annie Mid, Irelia Solo Top, Soraka Bot with Ashe.
Current NA metagame focuses on champs with moderate to large late game health pools. The comp I just described could easily demolish your Kog Maw and Teemo. Akali might be able to get to Annie or Ashe but Irelia would be right on top of her which would shut her down.
Your comp has:
Solid CC, strong single target DPS. Weak health. Strong tower killers. Slow Jungler
The comp I just described:
Strong CC, strong single and multi target DPS, Each champ (except Soraka) has at least 2300HP+ late game. Strong laners and pushers. Slow Jungler. STRONG initiations.
Predictions of a team fight at mid (enemy team gets the initiate):
Ashe arrow hits any of your team-Amumu flash/Ultis-Annie Flash/Ultis-Ashe Volleys-Most of your carries are now anywhere from dead to half HP. Most likely dead between the Mumu ULT+Annie Ulti aoe Combo.
Team fight mid (your team initiates):
Rammus flash roller balls into Annie/Rest of your team jumps her/Soraka heals/Annie Flashes away/Ashe arrow hits someone/Irelia follows it up with another stun/Amumu flash ultis/Annie comes back and tibbers stuns some of you/Akali jumps annie/Irelia hops on Akali/Soraka uses Wish/Annie turns on Akali/Kog Maw is trying to focus on someone same as Teemo/ Annie and Irelia kill akali/Kog and Teemo focus Irelia who stuns Kog/Ashe and Annie focus Teemo/Then move on to focus Kogmaw/soraka heals and silences where needed/Amumu is doing AoE damage to everyone ccing with bandage toss where able/Alistars CDs are finally up but most of his team is dead....
You don't have a bad comp but there are better ones.
My suggestion:
Rammus Jungle-Jarvan or Xin Zhao solo top-Akali,Malzahar, Annie, AP Kog Maw mid, Ashe, Miss Fortune, Caitlyn bot with Soraka or Sona to baby sit.
Currently it is more favorable to have your AP carry mid, your ranged AD with a support style champion bot. Durable off tanky DPS solo top, Jungler.

as our main tank we opted to use a Rammus due to his taunt, powerball and massive amounts of defense, for our AD carries we picked a Teemo due to mushroom map control, and a Kog'maw for mid or top we picked Kog'maw because of his ability to kill off fleeing champions and for his good poke damage. For our AP carry we choose to use an Akali because she is good at chasing and does a large amount of damage, for our tanky support character we decided to go with Alistar because he has great CC and can change a team fight instantly.
Feel free to make any changes that you think would benifit our team comp, please explain why you are making these changes please. As a side note this team comp for the first little while will be low elo probably highest 1300 for now until we can get the groove of things, thanks ahead of time for all your help.
