TFT Inkborn Fables - Mid Patch Update

Riot released a quick update to Inkborn Fables on the 25th of March. Read on to see what's changed before you hop into your next game!

It’s been nearly a week since Inkborn Fables shipped on the live servers. While Riot has hinted that several more significant changes may arrive on Patch 14.7, a mini update has been published today in an attempt to fix some critical bugs, and to balance several augments and traits in Inkborn Fables.

Trait Changes

The only trait that is receiving a change during this mid patch update is the Mythic Trait. Inspired by the Shang Hai Scroll skinline, this trait encompasses eight unique champions - making it the largest and, therefore, most versatile trait live right now.


Riot has noticed that several Mythic champions - namely Kog’Maw, Bard, Tham Kench, and Hwei - are far more powerful than planned. To curb their offensive strengths, Mythic units will now receive less AD and AP overall. 


The new Mythic trait benefits will be as follows:


(3) +8% HP, 10% AP/AD

(5) +18% HP, 20% AP/AD

(7) +25% HP, 32% AP/AD

(10) Instantly become Epic. The bonus is increased by 250% instead.


Augment Changes

Buffs

  • Gold Augment Drop Blossom (Neeko) Heal increase: 25% ⇒ 35%

  • Gold Augment Drop Blossom (Neeko) Damage increase: 30% ⇒ 35%

Nerfs

  • Silver Augment Sharing is Caring Gold per turn: 2 ⇒ 1

  • Gold Augment Built Different II AS: 40-60% ⇒ 40-55%

  • Gold Augment Built Different II Health: 250-500 ⇒ 220-480

  • Gold Augment Epoch Free rerolls: 3 ⇒ 2

  • Gold Augment Extended Duel (Duelist) Starting stacks: 3 ⇒ 2

  • Gold Augment Lucky Ricochet (Trickshot) Damage of extra bounce: 50% ⇒ 40%

  • Gold Augment Three’s a Crowd Health: 75 ⇒ 66

  • Prismatic Augment Accomplice Gold: 8 ⇒ 4

  • Prismatic Augment Pumping Up III Base AS: 12% ⇒ 10%

Bugfixes

Three critical bugs have been isolated and squashed in the Mid Patch Update:


  • In Hyper Roll, you will now be able to see a more diverse selection of Encounters, rather than just Carousel Encounters.

  • Travelling to another player's board with more than 1 Tactician's Crown will no longer cause some of your units to lose their traits.

  • Irelia will no longer stop attacking after being knocked up by Udyr's Ram Slam.


Riot has highlighted that there were several other niche bugs that they’ve been able to identify and remove as well.


More To Come

Riot Mort, Riot's Lead Designer of Teamfight Tactics, has noted that this mini Mid Patch Update was necessary to deploy some urgent fixes, but that, regarding balance, the team is reluctant to shake things up too much too soon. We can expect more significant balancing changes to come in Patch 14.7 as Riot soaks in some more player feedback. Until then, good luck and have fun!
