League of Legends (LoL) Question: Bronze Elo Hell

    Bronze Elo Hell

I went through the provisionary games and achieved silver rank 2. was doing pretty good for a while. But, i hit a losing streak. Eventually, i got down to bronze rank 5. Now maybe i belong here.. but what can i do to get out of the elo hell? i keep seeing some patterns: carries normally don't know when to back down and feed early. most are worried about kills than objectives. i try to learn something from each game. i was hoping someone could give me a few tips on getting out of the elo hell. i believe i could achieve silver rank 1 or even gold. from what it seems like, there is a lot of luck involved on the teammates you get.

    What helped me:
    1. Learn 3 to 4 champions for every role. Don't just play one role because you may not get it every game. If you don't learn all the roles, you will lose games because you are inexperienced.
    2. There are a lot of variables in this game that you cannot control. Learn to except that.
    3. Don't rage! Seriously this is a huge one. If you've heard the phrase "blinded by rage", that's exactly what happens in lower elos. You could have a guy go first time Urgot...sorry I mean Urgod in a ranked game, go 0/12/4 and there is nothing you can say to him that is going to make him realize how he just costed you the game. Believe me when I was Bronze I did this all the time. You have to focus on yourself and what you can do. That's the first step in carrying. As you gain elo and rank up, you will not rage as much.
    4. Don't drag the game out! If you have a lead, you need to keep enforcing that lead. If the team has a late game team (exp. Nasus, Vlad, Sejuani, Leona, and Tristana)and your team has a lead, you need to hurry up and end the game fast, or your team will be out-scaled and you won't win teamfights.
    5. Play champions you win the game with! If you've played 50 games with Draven and lost 40 of them, maybe he isn't for you. Look around to see who are the best champions for every role in the current meta and play those champions. Every champion gains or loses something every patch.
    6. Take breaks! One time when I was still in Bronze, I lost 3 games in a row, was tilting super hard and kept playing. I continued to lose another 4 or 5 games and I got demoted. I noticed when I took breaks after 2 or 3 games, regardless of how I was doing, I won more games. Take breaks.
    7. Map awareness. Develop the habit of looking at the minimap a lot! It's literally the whole game. In the higher elos, I buy wards constantly because if I'm playing top, I could get 4 man ganked and I want to be prepared for it. If you're playing mid, roam. If you're playing top, look for Teleport opportunities. If you're jungling, be looking around the map to see if you can counter gank. Making plays like that will help you secure objectives better and win games! Like I said, the minimap is the entire game.
    8. Last but not least, don't play if you're an emotional player. This means don't play if you're stressed, tired, sick, etc. It will have too much of an effect on your mind and you will not play as well.

Don't worry if you're not high elo right now man. You're going to get there eventually. It just takes time my man. Your skill level and MMR will climb naturally. I thought I was going to be stuck in Bronze forever. But overtime I played better, watched a lot of competitive play, learned a lot of things, and my elo began to sky rocket! Hope this helped you man! Good luck! :)

"i believe i could achieve silver rank 1 or even gold"

    There's the problem.

Whilst I do believe that sometimes it's difficult to climb and it can be due to your teammates. The main problem is the player who is trying to climb. Attitude is an important thing in order to win games. Try and be flexible and adapt to your team's strenght's and weakness's. Share your power out equally. If you're fed and everyone else is feeding on your team because you're "stuck in bronze elo hell and you got unlucky" you ideally need to share that power with them and win your lane in addition to others. Even if you don't win your lane. Try and roam or create pressure around the map. If you're the jungler, ward the enemies jungle in order to prevent ganks and do counterganks. Catch their jungler off-guard. Politely ask your jungle to invade with you if you find the enemy jungler alone with low health mid game. Take objectives. E.T.C.

It helps if you play champions that are good at furfilling multiple roles. Champions such as Jarvan IV can both furfill the damage carry role and tanky initiator role. He's a strong duelist and splitpusher. [Tristana is a high ranged ad hyper carry who also has a lot of self-peel and burst with a bit of catch potential. She's got a reset so she's very strong when she manages to get ahead and pick up kills. Ahri is a mage-assassin who has huge single target burst with mobility and catch potential.

All champions are different. Find the one that is for you. Find at least two in every role. Main one role but be willing to play others. Cooperate with your team and avoid all and any conflict. Try resolve it. If your jungler wants red and you're a 10/0 ADC don't take it unless you need it to win because otherwise he's going to go in a blind rage.

Hope that helps. Goodluck in Solo Queue.

    Hi,

Yes there is some luck involved in it due to people going afk/troll but that is in every division.

If you really belong in a higher tier, just keep playing and you will eventually get there.

Try to help your team, give them instructions (don't get mad, just give them information on how to improve themselves) and most important: don't give up.

It also helps to play a champion that don't need alot of help (For example Nasus) and that might be able to carry your team. Going jungle or top with a tanky champion is usually a good way. Try to gank/help other lanes when possible. (For example Pantheon or Xin jungle, good damage and good ganks if you know how to)
Even if they are bad, they will be stronger than the opponent due to your ganks. They will get ahead and will be stronger.

Just keep on playing, don't give up, don't get mad at your teammates, help them & most of all: have fun! It's still a game!
