League of Legends (LoL) Question: Bruiser Yone?

    Bruiser Yone?

I want to play yone top, but he is too squishy, so I thought of playing him as a bruiser. The two I am thinking of using (when everyone stops banning/choosing him) are 1. Fleet, overheal, alacrity, last stand, second wind, and revitalize, with serkers>shiv>steracks>IE>DD>Stoneplate or stoneplate>dd. 2. Conquerer>Triump>Alacrity>Coup de grace. Secondaryies depend on matchup. serkers>PD>IE>DD>Frozen mallet>GA. Which one is better, or is there already a good bruiser yone build?

    Hi,

The Fleet Footwork setup you mentioned gives him the safest possible laning phase, so i can highly recommend using that into most match ups. Also consider starting the game with Doran's Shield.

Yone is versatile with items so yes, bruiser works. You just want to make sure that you always get his 2 core items Phantom Dancer or Statikk Shiv + Infinity Edge, and then you can easily build into more defensive items.

    serkers>shiv>steracks>IE>DD>Stoneplate

If you get Sterak's Gage before Infinity Edge it will delay his strongest powerspike in the game. The shield you get from sterak's scales with your bonus HP, and you don't really have any HP items before buying it = less value overall.

I can instead recommend doing something similar to this:

Berserker's Greaves -> Phantom Dancer -> Infinity Edge -> Death's Dance -> Tank items like Randuin's Omen (best armor item) + Adaptive Helm / Spirit Visage for more MR. Gargoyle Stoneplate is decent but the bruiser who buys it Darius is able to do so because his main form of damage is true damage, so he isn't really affected by the damage reduction. Buying this on Yone would mean pretty much 0 damage.

    serkers>PD>IE>DD>Frozen mallet>GA

IMO this build looks a lot better than the first you mentioned, and is also the one i recommend using. Frozen Mallet gives a lot of HP with a super useful active that helps you sticking to champs.

Conquerer>Triump>Alacrity>Coup de grace. Secondaries depending on the match up.

It's his "best scaling build" but it doesn't really do anything for his poor early game. If you can safely make it out of the laning phase using Conqueror, then yes go for it because it scales better than any of his other viable keystones. If not, then Fleet Footwork is a much safer alternative.

Thank you! I will try this out once people stop choosing him before me/banning him.
