Finding A Champion For My Playstyle

Hello! I have been struggling to find champions right for me in patch 6.13 and 6.14 and ones I try don't feel right, especially top laners.
    My Rank: Bronze 1
My Roles: Top, Jungle, ADC, Mid?
My Playstyle: I like to be a fighter that tries to have extended battles with enemies instead of quick burst one shot. I like to also be a diver that can quickly take down a low health enemy under tower. I don't like squishy champions or champions that are super tanky but have 0 damage.

What champions have you been playing and why do you feel like they have become non-viable in the latest patches?

Also why 5 roles? If climbing is your goal it is easier to do by focusing on 1-role with a few picks for your off-role for dynamic queue. E.g. I do Jungle and Mid (partially because picking Mid makes it more likely I will get Jungle).

Top: Garen (tends to have to whittle opponents down before 1-shotting them. Can definitely tower dive with the right setup).

Jungle: Warwick (he is in a good spot right now. Does very well against mobile assassins, jungle is a titch slow but very sustained)

ADC: Ashe (Arrow is really good for setting up fights even if you are behind).

Mid: I like Vel'Koz but he takes some getting used to. Tend to go Cho'Gath into assassins that can give Vel'koz problems. But they both have a lot of skill shots to land.

Non-skill shot based with a big impact even if they are somewhat behind - Annie

Support - Soraka or if you can get Janna down she is really good even at the highest levels.

Jax is usually best as secondary initiation. That means he is just behind the tanks so he can't get poked down. Tanks engage, the enemy team uses their CC and damage on the tank, then Jax goes in to put down their carries. Like most melee bruisers/assassins if he gets focused with CC and damage he'll die before he can kill the carries.

If your team is struggling to the point that team fights aren't advisable then you can choose to split push as Jax when your Teleport is up. The rest of your team needs to be forcing something on the other side of the map though...forcing or staying together and running away if the other team tries to engage on them 5v4.

E.g. as a split pusher you should try really hard not to die unless your death gives your team enough time to get something else on the map.

Hi. Thanks for the recommendations. To answer your questions I have been playing...
Jax: I love him to death and he is strong right now but I feel that mobile assassins or kiters counter him and I dont really know if he is front line or backline.

Rammus: So tanky, love him because he punishes high damage
output enemies and his passive makes him even better. The problem with him is it is very hard to get to the adc or get in the middle of a fight and start a fight because of ashe slows and his slow mobility
Kennen: Just started playing this guy about 4 days ago and I love him for getting into the middle of a fight and ulting. I feel he is strong right now and the only problem with him is you have to start slowballing and I feel his laning phase is just ok, but maybe that is just me.
Graves: Ok with graves I play him Top more then Jungle, because of his kill pressure. I really like him but you have to position really well because of his passive.
Amumu: He has great cc and great for starting a fight. I feel that amumu is in a good spot and I feel he is viable.
I play lots of other champions too but these are my main go to's in ranked.
This is getting long but I don't have 5 roles. I was just listing what im good at in order. So basically I play Top and Jungle but when I play with friends they want those spots so I play ADC sometimes.

I don't know what you exactly mean by "extended" fights, but both Irelia and Pantheon might be good for you. Both are pretty good at turret diving, and both rly on whittling down the enemy through trades then taking them down quickly. Out of the two I would say Irelia tends to have more extended fights, since Pantheon doesn't want to hard engage until he can kill his target. Both of these would be played in the Top lane.

I'd try Ekko if you like extended fights. He needs time to set up his W and R so he needs fight to go longer than usual, but has plenty of damage. You could play him straight tank and still have ok damage, but if you build ROA, Zhonyas, Abbysa you'll have decent defense. Plus he is a great diver due to his mobility and ult reset

My recommendation would be Hecarim for jungler right now. Seems to fit your playstyle exactly.
