Is Ezreal better on mid then as an ADC now?

I've been seeing a TON of Ezreals go mid, so much so that I'm seeing him more on mid then in the ADC role. I always knew he's decent at mid lane, but now, its about every other game I see him in the mid lane, and frankly, it's getting slightly annoying.

So, is Ez making a transition into a mage?

Nope, he's considered a flex pick which means he can be used in either role. However, using him mid has a few limitations in terms of team comps (like requiring extra CC and AP damage from top/jungle as Ez doesn't bring either) meaning he's still primarily an ADC.

I get what you are saying, but I really think AP Ezreal is a strong pick. You are very correct in saying he has no CC but I think he has quite a bit of damage. Especially if you first buy lich bane. In my experience if you start lich bane and go into Morellonomicon you are in a pretty good position. AP Ezreal has insane burst, in a teamfight your ult will devastate the enemy team.

AP is definitely sub-par to AD. I've seen enough Ez AD mid in my solo queue games but yet to see one go AP. Overall AD is better due to stronger lane phase, more dps late game and longer range (AP Ez needs a lot damage from his W which is terrible late game) - that's not to forget that Blue (or semi-blue) Ezreal is one of the most terrifying things in existence late game.

I have too but that doesn't mean it's good. Ezreal has like 0 laning presence as AP. He needs like 2 core items before he's relevant.

However, I have been seeing people build him AP, and he absolutely wrecks people! So far, out of the many times I have seen him on mid, I've seen someone build him AD once.

I'm also seeing him a lot more as ADC :D

Maybe it's about the change to Mana Regeneration which many mid laners has affected and assumingly the current picks in top lane (loads of AP tops with heavy cc). Isn't it like many people are playing him AD mid as well (blue build)?
