Hi! I was just wondering what the pros and cons were to the cast options and lock/unlock camera!

Quick Cast: Improves your cast speed by casting abilities without needing to click. You lose range indicators by default, but you can turn them on in the options if you want. Turning on range indicators makes your abilities cast when you release the key rather than when you press it, which makes your casting a little more sluggish.

Normal cast: Simpler and allows you to easily check the range of your abilities before casting. I have normal cast versions of my spells bound to Shift+Q/W/E/R so I can check the range occasionally, but my default is quick-cast.

Locked/Unlocked Camera: Most players start with locked camera because it's simpler, but ultimately you need to unlock your camera in order to be able to look at other parts of the map and aim long-reaching abilities accurately. Hold down Spacebar to center your camera on your champion if and when you need to.

    Locked camera Pros
-More vision around your champion as you can move the camera too see enemies and allies just outside your centered screen.
-Helps with map awareness because you are always moving the camera to see exactly what is happening vs. just seeing the mini map.
    Locked Camera Cons
-Similar to mis-clicking you can accidently move the camera and lose vision during a trade.
-Lack of vision, you miss a lot of team fights purely for the fact you don't see what happened, did that zed ult already?
-Skill shots are harder, especially for extreme long rage skill shots using camera lock makes it harder to land because you cant see the enemies.

    Quick Cast Pros
-MUCH faster spell cast times, this is the biggest pro by far you can shave seconds off of an ability that you might have to click twice to do what you want.
-Much easier to combo, many combos in the game become MUCH more difficult to pull off with normal cast and quick cast eliminates the time delay.
    Quick cast Cons
-Mis-click, it is much easier to misclick on quick cast than normal cast jsut moving the cursor to far can mean the difference between life and death.
-Hard to become accustom to, especially on champions you have played for a long time getting used to quick cast can be an issue.

    Normal cast Pros
-Easier to land abilities, because most abilities that use normal cast by default instead of quick cast (ezeral q uses normal cast while karthus q is only quick cast) you know 100% for sure where that shot is going because you dedicated a click to it. It's much harder to misclick
-Range indicators, many abilities on normal cast show you their range and you can use this to your advantage.
    Normal cast cons
-Much slower, that pretty much it you can massively delay you skill shots and miss them by having normal cast.
-Combos are harder to land, in opposition of quick cast some combos you cant land at all in normal cast.

    What do most people use?
Most people will use unlocked camera. There isn't a whole lot of cons to using an unlocked camera outside of mouse and user error. I HIGHLY recommend using unlocked screen even if it take a while to get used to.
Most people use exclusively quick cast; however, some like myself use shift, control, or alt in combination with q,w,e,r to be able to use quick cast in quick trades and fights, but can use shift q in my case to see the range and use it in normal cast.

Use Quick cast. So much easier to use. In some cases like a janna q i use normal cast or even a varus q, but usually go quickcast. If u have to nornalcast something like thresh hook to make it easier by all means do it.
I use semi locked. My friends tell he how the **** do I play on it, but once you get used to it you get the best of both worlds. It was easy for me to pick up and play with. I can always see my champion and also not have it be in the middle and see more of whats in front of me or behind me, which is the reason people learn how to play unlocked. Semilocked remove some of that hassle.

Use quick cast, the ability only goes when you let go of the button, you can always cancel the ability by right clicking while the key is pressed.
I use the semi locked camera setting, your champ is locked on the screen, not the scree locked on your champ. Almost any abilities range can be fully seen, and is highly versatile.
