Well, I saw someone's post of their gaming history, so I figured; why not? I'll go ahead and do mine. And I won't lie, I was born in 1991 and I've been a gamer since I was 3 (even if I didn't know what I was doing :D)

Ok, so let's get it started!

1994 - The Starting Years
- My gaming history at this point was pretty much games that didn't possess a storyline or were just button mashers. Nonetheless, if I could hold the controller, I was willing to try...

SUPER STREET FIGHTER II
This game was a HUGE hit when I was a kid. And my favorite character then is still my favorite character now: Ryu. I played this game for a long time and as I watched my brothers play, throwing out Shouryukens, Hadoukens, and the.... Spin Kick as I called it as a 3-year old, I was DETERMINED to master Ryu, and now I have. :)

SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2

Now this game was uber fun when your little. You don't really care about losing rings, getting all the evil enemy robots holding the tiny critters, you just knew you were going VERY fast! When Sonic & Knuckles was released, I connected the two games and played as Knuckles, which remains to be my favorite way to play Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

1996 - The Defining Years

SECRET OF MANA

When I was 5, my uncle was introducing me to games I had never played before: RPGs. I, to this day, favor RPGs over any other game out there. And the first game I was hooked on was Secret of Mana. Now, I couldn't read VERY well, but with my brothers helping me with the storyline, I knew what was going on and I could explain it as far as I was (which wasn't very far XD). HOWEVER, this wasn't the only RPG I played a lot...

SUPER MARIO RPG - LEGEND OF THE SEVEN STARS

I would LOVE it if people remember this game (if you do tell me in the comments!) This game was an amazing RPG in my opinion and regardless of it being a Mario game -- which I didn't take too well since I'm an avid Sonic fan, I accepted it as an amazing RPG with an amazing storyline!

1997 - The Favored Year

FINAL FANTASY VII

For me, this game needs no introduction because of how epic this game truly is. I play it still to this day, and it never gets old in my heart. The heroes are memorable, especially Could and Aerith (*tear fall* for any who know what happens), and then the most amazing villain I have ever laid eyes on: Sephiroth! My girlfriend who is in no way a gamer, knows who Sephiroth is. I think everyone has heard of him in one way or another. This game, when it was released, defined my favorite game. Still is, and always will be. Square Enix (Squaresoft at the time) released the crowning jewel in my gaming history on January 31, 1997.

Part 2 is yet to come! Thanks for reading! :)
