Introduction
Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. I'm currently using it to post tier lists for the five main roles in the game. This is the first post in my new format. I have completely remade the tier lists so I haven't listed the changes from the previous lists. This post is updated for the
Rengar patch. I will try to make a new one each patch.
The lists
These lists were started by me, but they will probably change a lot. I will edit them based on my personal experience and patches. I can also make changes based on feedback. If you have a suggestion, please post a nice comment with an explanation. I will look into it and see what I can do. I try to take all possible aspects of the champions and the game into account when making or editing the lists but it's not easy. I am not a pro player but I've done my best to make the lists as accurate as possible. I know they are far from perfect but I hope you will find them useful anyway. Don't blame me if you completely disagree with the lists.
The tiers
Tier 1: These are the strongest champions. They are picked or banned most of the time in competitive matches. They provide different abilities and strengths to help the team. They have few weaknesses and are hard to counter.
Tier 2: Still very strong champions, but with generally more weaknesses. They are picked a lot and are pretty much as good as tier 1 in most cases. They're just a little bit easier to counter.
Tier 3: Still completely viable picks in many cases. Some are safe picks but bring less to the team, some can bring much to the team but can be countered.
Tier 4: More situational picks. They can be used as counterpicks if you know who your up against. You don't see them that often though. There's usually something better to pick.
Tier 5: Champions that still fit their role, but are not a great pick most of the time. They are a bit underpowered compared to the higher tiers and can be countered pretty well.
Tier lists
Below are the tier lists for each main role in the current meta: AP carry, AD carry, support, jungler and solotop.
AP carry
Tier 1: Morgana, Zyra, Anivia, Kennen, Galio, Ahri, Karthus, Vladimir
Tier 2: Orianna, Gragas, Cassiopeia, Ryze, Kassadin, Lux, Twisted Fate, Mordekaiser
Tier 3: Annie, Malzahar, Brand, Veigar, Swain, Diana, Kog’Maw, Katarina
Tier 4: Viktor, LeBlanc, Lulu, Xerath, Ziggs, Soraka, Zilean, Fiddlesticks
Tier 5: Tristana, Sion, Nunu, Maokai, Nidalee, Janna, Heimerdinger
AD carry
Tier 1: Graves, Kog’Maw, Corki
Tier 2: Vayne, Ezreal, Ashe

Heck, skarner is a better ganker then blitz.
Morg counters: Ahri Fizz Vlad Morde Veigar
If played at the same skill level.
Kayle is great in the jungle, I saw him a lot of times actually in the past MLGs/IPLs or whatever they are called.
Leona and Blitz are far away from the best gankers in the game.
Shyvana, Riven, Darius and Jax need to be moved up also. Shyvana is one of the most viable junglers in the game at the moment.
Morg can lane decently against those champions and outscales all of them except for Veigar maybe.
Ok Alistar is probably a better ganker than Leona. But if Blitz lands his grab, there's no escape. Who would you say are better gankers?
I'm still looking at some of the junglers so things will change in the list.
If played at the same skill level.

big improvement over the previous tier lists imo. Still I'll point out which champions I feel should move around.
AP carry:
I feel as though LB is bellow some mages she should be above, such as viktor of AP Kog, though very vulnerable to counters, I feel she belongs in the middle of tier 3 due to her strong burst and high mobility that's been furthered by recent buffs. Also with her sheer early game power and the amount of mids that cass counters should grant her a place somewhere in tier one.
AD carry:
This list is pretty spot-on, I feel trist and urgot should be a little higher, even though urgot is more of an anti-carry and as such his late-game DPS doesn't live up to a lot of other carries, but I think if you're gonna put him in the ADC list you should acknowledge his ability to completely zone out other carries with weak early games, such as vayne. I also think cait belongs in tier 3 instead of 4, above ADC Jayce for sure.
Support:
Good, but I feel alistar deserves the spot of the best support in the game, the ability to deny the enemy carry cs, great sustain, strong cc and an ult that reduces 70% of incoming damage, though all other supports are in fairly sound spots.
Jungling:
Remove Hecarim and Jayce from tier 2, fast jungle clears don't make up for their mediocrity in almost every other way. Jax probs should move up a bit. Though I might get a bit of hate for saying so, but I don't feel Mundo or lee sin deserve to be so high, I feel Udyr, Naut and Noct should go in front of them, Udyr is an exceptional counter-jungler and counters the majority of slower support junglers with ease, Naut is arguably the best ganking-jungler at the moment, and Nocturne is an exceptional assassin, ganker, as well as jungle clearer, the respective high mobility and super-fast jungle clears of the first two simply don't measure up to the pros of the others. Malph could also move higher. As a final note I've never heard of or played with a jungle pantheon/kayle/leona/blitzcrank/renekton/garen/talon, many of them seem totally non-viable to me.
Solo Top:
I agree with most of this section but singed and nasus both seem a bit low, for such great late game tanks/offtanks that, if built right, can become almost unkillable, though admittedly they do need significant early game farm to be effective, leaving them open to counters from strong poke tops.

Hi thanks for the feedback. Here's what I think.
LeBlanc indeed has a very strong early-game. Though she falls off late-game due to her lack of CC and AoE abilities. She is probably a bit low and might move up to tier 3.
Tristana is definately a strong AD carry, but I think the 6 above her are just a bit stronger currently. This might change depending on the Ezreal, Corki and Graves changes next patch.
Personally, I think Urgot was nerfed way too hard. The range on his locked-on Q is far from what it used to be. If you get a lock-on, you might be able to hit 1 Q, maybe 2. He used to have an amazing early-game and a decent late-game, but now his early game isn't any better than other AD carries.
I think Jayce is generally a stronger ADC than Caitlyn. His late-game is definately stronger, with much more utility and (AoE) damage. Caitlyn just has more range obviously. His early-game is probably a bit weaker than Caitlyn's, for noone has a better early-game than Caitlyn. But teamed up with a support like Blitzcrank, Leona or Alistar, he becomes a killing machine with insane burst in lane. His ranged Q is pretty similar to Caitlyn's Q in terms of damage and reliability.
Hecarim and Jayce not only clear pretty fast, they also have great sustain (Hecarim has mana issues though) and strong ganks. They also both snowball insanely and are strong late-game. Udyr, Nautilus and Nocturne do have some great strengths, but I think they have more weaknesses than Mundo and Lee. Mundo is insanely fast and good at counter-jungling (might be even faster, but I'm not sure), like Udyr. But his late-game is just stronger imo. Lee Sin is pretty much good at everything and can really mess with the enemy jungler. His late-game isn't great, but early-game he can snowball and shut down enemy laners. Nautilus is indeed a great ganker and tank, but he is very vulnerable to counter-jungling and invades. Nocturne has good throughout the game, but he relies on his ultimate a lot.
jungle pantheon/kayle/leona/blitzcrank/renekton/garen/talon aren't really viable, but they CAN jungle and do some things well:
Pantheon: Great ganks with damage and CC (even better with his ult).
Kayle: Overall decent and good ganks, with a great ult.
Leona/Blitzcrank: Slooow, but the best gankers in the game.
Garen: Pretty fast.
Renekton/Talon: Meh, but good ganks.
Singed and Nasus are pretty similar. Their late-game is insanely strong, but they can be shut down early. They might move up a bit.
Anyways, I will keep all this in mind for the next patch. Be sure to check out my next tier lists ^^.

Yep. She doesn't really have hard counters and she can lane pretty safely by AFK farming with her
Riven is Tier 3 and 4 in your jungle list ;)
