Hey,
I started playing League again about 2 weeks ago after a 6 month break.
I (used) to be a gold player. I have watched a lot of videos of just general things, champs, red various things etc.. Basically I feel that I've "done" my part to catch up again, but still the feeling that I'm missing something.

My last hitting is fine, general game mechanics is getting there etc..

Do you have any suggestions on things I should read/watch or anything else? I'm open for any suggestions, if you feel that it might just be a little relevant, please post it! :)

This thread maybe seem a bit weird/useless, but I would appreciate anything anything you're thinking when reading this. (Well, except the various troll posts).

Merry Christmas!

When playing mid lane, try to avoid taking your own junglers camps early-mid game if you can, try to take enemy camps instead. Due to respawn length right now, taking your side's camps just puts your jungle behind unless he has a lot of successful ganks to make up for it. Aside from that, more or less what it has been aside from the more recent buffs and nerfs which it sounds like you've already read up on..

Oh yea, that is something I need to read some more up on; The new jungle! I've mained jungle in large periods and ppl are now starting at different monsters, different gold, different respawn times and what not :S It seems to me that you're not viable for jungle unless you have some sort of sustain, combined that with prices making one unable to buy more than 2 freakin pots.....

Yeah, with smite changes each camp gives a mini buff for smiting it

All camps share a gold increase when smited.

Gromp/Wight gives essentially a poison thornmail, more useful late game, but can be useful early for champs who don't auto much to make use of heavy hands.
Krugs/Mini golems give heavy hands which stuns right after smite is used, then every sixth auto following, can alternatively be used to hit a tower once for extra guaranteed damage.
Brambleback/red buff gives a sizable amount of health on smite
Ancient Golem/Blue buff gives a sizable amount of mana on smite
Wolves give a temporary ward in their appropriate side jungle, and when an enemy enters it will follow the enemy until they leave, giving vision all the while.
Raptors/Wraiths gives an inactive oracle lens, which becomes active upon passing a ward of any sort. Unfortunately this does mean it procs when you find a vision ward, which is it's biggest downfall, but it also provides knowledge of where places aren't warded so long as it's inactive.

Thanks for explaining!

The one thing I've kept asking my self about the complete changes of the jungle is;
WHY?! I don't get it. Imho the jungle was fine just the way it was. I've mained every lane for quite some time (not so much mid though, but still). So it's not just seen from a junglers point of view.

Minor changes happens, ok - fair enough. But what was so wrong that it needed a complete remake?

Often I feel that Riot don't really play this game them selfs, never able to nerf the champs that actually need it so bad that people will kill each other so they can play this champ.

They wanted to cut down what champs could and couldn't jungle, and also try to reduce the power of the top tier jungles by making it more difficult to stay at healthy enough to get level 3, and early gank, since that's where junglers like Lee Sin and Kha'Zix got their strength from, now Elise is coming back into top meta pick, lee is still strong as always, kha is still relevant, and almost every non meta jungler has been killed off unless the enemy team decides to let them free farm for some reason. Dragon change was for snowballing purposes, but in reality fifth stack of dragon is a game ender anyways most of the time. New baron is heavily in favor of the ahead team as well, and only provides extra turtling power for the behind team.

Exactly!! I don't play Lee neither Kha'Zix and hell yea, they can be annoying. But like you said; They're still strong.
Almost no champions can jungle anymore, so what good came out of these changes?

I think it's good that they cut out the gold given by dragon, but when you get it stacked, who cares about the gold?

That's only a couple of things that makes me think that Riot don't play this game them selfs.
