i love kass, i think you can do great thing but you need to know how to do it and that's when we go to mobofire to look for the answer, what you said there - "Basically the only things you can do to hurt people and help your team is to do a lot of burst damage. Slow them and silence them Is all you can really do to help your team in the time of need." - is not true... Kass can do a lot and when you come up with a guide we expect you to explain how and what to do... buy i agree, you don't need catalyst if you can survive without it...

Good idea using including the abyssal scepter to make you a bit more of an anti mage.

Good guide but you have a giant flaw. You used mana replenishment glyphs and cooldown seals. Really? Instead you could have used mana replenishment seals which give you 0.41/5 and cooldown glyphs which give you 0.65 cooldown reduction. Giant flaw.

Looks like a good Kass build. I have a few suggestions though:

You should swap your Seals and Glyphs. Seals are better for mp5, and Glyphs are better for CDR.

You might want to consider a more defensive item somewhere in there, like Banshee's Veil. It will help you survive a lot better.

I wouldn't bother upgrading Nether Blade much at all after you get it once. I'd save it till last, it's not as important as Q or E.


All in all this is a good build/guide, deserves a +1 for sure

Even though this build lacks some durability I still like it alot, great magic resist which just really brings out Kassadins anti caster even more.

Catalyst the Protector-
Look at it this way. I've fought other kassadins that use tear of the goddess while i had my catalyst in a mid lane. we would pretty much go hit for hit with null sphere. I stayed on top in terms of Health points in the long run just because my catalyst was healing me every so often. This forced the other kassadin to recall earlier than me and i gained a level advantage. Unless you have defensive spec masteries with strength of spirit and tenacity you dont have enough lane stay power. I would suggest trying 9-21-0 with Tear of the Goddess.

Flash-
Its usually a waste. If youve been slowed before you cast it you'll prolly get caught anyways. besides the 425 isn't far enough to escape from champions that have actions skills like akali's or shen's dash.

Exhaust- the only time you want to select this is if your playing ranked and you know you'll be facing plenty of auto attackers. Master yi or olaf in particular since you cannot slow them and will be forced to take big melee hits that can be reduced with exhaust. Otherwise, you are not an auto attacker and do not take much bennifit from going close range.

The most potent summoner spell combination for kassadin is Cleanse and Ignite. Cleanse to stop immoblizers (kassaadins needs to be able to move freely) and ignite to deal extra damage (dealing damage is what kassadin is for).

Other than that I think archangels, abyssal specter, and Lichbane is an interesting combo. I will vote this guide once i've tried it ;)

Also going to agree with them.. Kassadin without a catalyst is just not gonna be able to have the lane presence that a Kass with it will early game, unless your laning opponent(s) are terrible.. Also having flash is redundant with any kind of CDR, Exhaust is pointless with riftwalk as you already have a slow and can riftwalk out to avoid auto attacks.. Without cleanse the second you get any kind of CC'ed you are finished.. Also I feel like your skill order is going to kill your early game.. I am not going to downvote this as it does some things correct.. But man its really hard for me not to.. Getting 2 points in netherblade for an AP Kass by level 10 is a sin..

Cap should be built faster but it's cool.
