hey, i play rammus whenever i can in ranked and i broadly agree with you on this build.

i really like philosophers stone on rammus to give him lane staying power and gold, perhaps swap out heal for flash and take a philo stone early on?

i also would get a sunfire straight after thornmail because it helps with farming, DPS need to be near your and the health gives you more effective hp than frozen heart...

but yeah, nice build. I've just made one for Sion, it took ages and no-ones rating it. If you play him and wouldn't mind reading it and rating it I'd really appreciate it.

There is no point to make a build with all armor items just read a standard rammus guide use your brain and pick armor items when you see full ad team .

I dont think your a troll because you disagreed with me, if you took the time to read the other replies and my responses to them then you would know that i dont think a troll is someone who disagrees with me. I think your a troll because you came in and disagreed with my guide with no suggestion on how to improve it and without any real evidence as to why my guide is not helpful.

Now go troll on someone elses post.

About your Magic Resistance note and the Bloodrazor... Umm, while 250 is plenty to counter the Madred's, then that is still ONLY when you have you DCB up. And umm. Knowing that the DCB increases your armor and magic resistance so much, AND returns even more damage to them than Thornmail already does, don't you think any reasonable player will hind from focusing you when it's up? The problem is more likely at the time when DCB is on cooldown. That is when they'll focus you, knowing your cooldown is rather high. :P

Thats what Puncturing Taunt is for. I never turn on my Defensive Ball Curl unless I'm being attacked, attacking someone or forcing someone to attack me. I agree that there are guides better suited for AD and AP tanking but that's not what this guide is for. This isn't a guide for magical attacks and if you note the first sentence in the Intro it clearly states this guide is for all physical enemy teams.

I really appreciate all your helpful advice though, it has given me a lot to think about for my all around tanking guide.

As I do see your point I have found that in most matches it is an extremely dumb idea to buy items revolving around trying to take down the tank. Also with Defensive Ball Curl you get up to 150 magic resist, add in Guardians Angel, natural magic resistance, Resistance and tenacity from the mastery tree, and the Greater Glyph of Magic Resist x9 you wind up with 249.28 Magic Resistance total, more than enough to help reduce the extra damage from Madred's. I have played against full physical teams often and every time my build has pulled through. I do not guarantee this will work every time because there is always a strategy to over come your opponents, there will never be a perfect guide. This is just something that works really well. The only part of this guide that wouldn't work against AP users is the items and those you have the choice to get after the game has started so you don't have to worry about following this guide and getting into the game and going "OH NO, These guys are all casters! My build wont help me at all". I really appreciate the advice and under the circumstances that everyone on a team get madred's to take me out and I find that my guide is no longer viable I will edit it immediately to better help any and all people who read my guide.

What about the weaknesses of this build? How often do you actually meet a full physical enemy team? I think this build should more likely be made an alternative to an actual build, as this seems more like something on the side of an actual build. A tank build should provide defense against both magic and physical damage. Not one or the other. Even if you meet a team full of physical attackers, don't you think they'll all get Madred's Bloodrazor and Last Whisper ?
There are many weaknesses in focusing on one single defense. Madred's Bloodrazor's 4 % is based on magic damage. This means you'll basically take the full 4 % of health in damage every time one of these physical attacks hit you, just once? Think about them getting Bloodrazor and attackspeed. They would easily take you down in a matter of seconds, if they all focused you. I agree, that early game it is fine to get Thornmail to be able to lock down the enemy real well, however late game, you'll end up being allmost as squishy as the rest of your team, when everyone has all the items they need.
