Poppy + Maokai = excellent laning combo, it is one of my favorites in the game.
With that said, Anivia should always have a solo lane. Cho'Gath should have a solo lane either top or bottom with a roamer would be best.
Galio is more of a duo lane champion. He can babysit quite well. As such, a range carry would make an excellent lane with him.

Zilean+Sion is very fun. Sion shield, runs up with Q, Zilean bombs him and you've got a suicide bomber on the loose.
Blitzcrank+Alistar is EXTREMELY fun.
