Actually I'm going for Sorc. Shoes first cause I get 34 Flat Pen with Runes and it makes a big impact on Mid, then Hextech -> Rylai/Rabadon -> Defense Items. Hextech as 1st item is ****, you won't be able to get close enough and then run. Just IMO. And MPen/Rylai helps in all aspects - meaning more true damage - more relevant healing.

But you should never use MrP quints on Vlad.. AP quints give more early damage and heals you more early on.

AP is way more useful for your early mid game. MrP is a little better in lategame though, but not much.

I always get boots of speed and 3 pots to begin. My reasoning is that Q is a great harrassing tool at no cost, and having that early movement speed means you can get in and out to harrass with Q, last hit, and zone. Then rush revolver and see how it goes from there.

Here is a game I played a few days ago. Pretty fun game. I started boots, then rushed revolver, then rylias. Keep an eye out at 21:00. Its pretty funny, I die shortly afterwards just from laughing so hard at my keyboard.

Im going to post it in the LoL replay thread as well. It will be under my name with my Anivia vids.

Despite the fact 75% of champions don't go over 40 MR. It's worth it IMO. I never liked AP quints cause I'm getting pure ****loads of it later on and I like going back to mid with guaranteed 290 damage each 2,5 second, rapes their faces like I want :/ The thing is that extra 6 points make the deal between dealing true damage or dealing reduced damage. Guess you didn't try this option, if really not, give it a shot, I already looked into AP Quints + Glyphs... not my taste, really. I prefer to be 100% sure of something than to have that guessing, and Vlad's scalling isn't the best as well.

I agree. I came to this conclusion after buying full MP quints, glyphs, marks, and full AP quints, glpyhs, marks.
Figured it out the hard way :/ but its nice to have the full sets i guess lol

The early AP boost with full set is amazing with his Q, and eventually E when you get your spell vamp.

Doesn't matter. I got ****ing math on my side. I'm the guy who's always right about his stuff :P

I know for a fact that AP quints deal more damage before midgame. In midgame AP is about equal to MrP, but AP heals more. The heal has an AP ratio and doesn't rely on damage. AP quints heal about 4HP more per Transfusion. That can be really nice early on.

There's really no reason at all to get MrP over AP quints.

I just started playing Vlad again recently and he was a ton of fun. Getting spellvamp on him makes it so that you are almost always at full health during teamfights.

If other people don't play, whatever. I think that he is still solid.

Needs a nerf? Before when there were so little manaless champions, he might have needed one. But with all of the new release using fury, heat, and energy, its not really necessary.
I argue a lot, don't mind me.

I see Vlad almost every game I play Ranked. They all rush Revolver and proceed to be annoying as ****. #_#
