Oh, nonono, I was talking about HP5 quints. HP-reg is pretty brutal on Irelia.
The MS quints are still good on Irelia as well, for the same reasons as most other solo-top champs. I haven't had a chance to try both just yet on her, but in theory, the HP/5 quints are ever-so-slightly more useful, simply due to the massive amount of HP regen she can have early-game. However, the MS quints are useful on more champions, so for the price, the MS is probably the way to go.
Playstyle also makes a difference; I can't count how many times I've just barely missed out on that last hit, where I probably would have caught them with a little extra MS. If you're less aggressive in-lane, having that extra anti-harass insurance is nice from the HP/5, letting you keep coming right back into the lane after a poke, where anyone else would have needed to B.
Of course, Irelia gets both MS and HP/5 from masteries, assuming you're running 0/9/21 and opting for Strength of Spirit over Nimbleness, so either of the quints are just going to be a nice bonus.
