Just wondering on the community's thoughts on this one. I see a lot of guides out there where the cheat sheet is loaded with items, but personally I am more inclined to only want those core items in there. On a cheat sheet I want to see the 2-4 items that are essential to the build, and then see other situational things in the guide itself.

What do you think?

Your Cheat sheet should be a full build: what items you would buy 90% of the time or against a balanced team. same with Runes and Masteries. And keep snowball items like Mejai's Soulstealer out of the cheat sheet

Indeed, you should add the most common 6 items you buy in the cheat sheet.

If someone needs a quick build, he/she does not want to read your guide, but just see 6 good items for that champ. You can name all the other items you sometimes buy in your guide, for the people who are actually interested.

I just put the core. People complain too much when you put an entire build. Especially if it's one of those characters that's pretty variable.

Recently I've been doing both.

Here's an example.

I can see why someone would argue either side. It's never good to just follow the item cheat sheet, as items are always too dependent on the game. Then there are also full builds that people use almost every game, and I can see why those people would put a full build into the cheat sheet. I really don't care, as neither way would be accurate, reading the full guide would be necessary anyways.

I always enjoy seeing a full build right away if I'm in a hurry. It at least lets me get an idea of what I should grab during a game.

It also can help draw my attention to items I would consider "odd" on a certain hero. Usually gets me to read the whole guide after.
