Why are people so cocky in their guides?

Okay put it like this. New guide writers suck balls 90% of the time. They usually lack the experience and passion. Then there's also the guys who write guides for new champs. Those people suck 95% of the time because they are inexperienced and haven't learned the champ properly which takes time. And yeah I know I was a new guide writer once too BUT THAT'S NOT THE POINT. I HAD PASSION AND I KNEW SKARNER VERY WELL. *RAGE*
Thanks to Plickz and Alexanpt for the awesome Sigs!
And check out my build on skarner

I second the *RAGE*!

I agree with Joob. So many top guides have snowball items in it. But when you realistically think of it, there's no way in higher elo games or more serious games that someone will constantly keep their 20 stacks.

I kept seeing things like "For the first time you will be able to 1v2",

Reason #1;

Because it implies a sense of superiority and knowledge.

If you can convince people to upvote your guide through flowery language and confidence and swagger, then they will upvote.

Reason #2;

"Look at my awesome game stats screens!!!!!!Just ignore that AP Talon/Tank Eve/AD Anny in the enemy's team."

If you look closely you'll notice that 80% of the ppl commenting/reading the guides are nothing more than those low Elo players. Most time not even lvl 30---

Supply and demand is a *****!

So I was browsing through a few of the new guides, and I kept seeing things like "For the first time you will be able to 1v2", and seriously why do people do it? You were probably able to do it before, and allot of the time better.

Probably for the same reason people sing "Tottenham is the best football team in the entire world!"

They support it.

But if someone writes: You can 2v1 but that isn't because of this guide. Then noone will try it.

I agree, but let's make a scheme about this shall we?

All you 'High Elo' players, sitting on your beloved thrones. It's easy to be mocking and judging from up there. You've all been newbies, or at least "not-high-elo" players... Instead of pointing out on the forums that the new guides suck, why not guide the newer guides (who are not TOTALLY terrible)? With some explaining why something he/she choose, won't work?

To me it's common sense. I used to be a hardcore WoW player, and you see tactics on the internet against some arena teams, they're 80% bullsh*t. So you guide these less experienced players...!

Making posts here won't give you anything more then a +1 post... Don't make it too easy on yourselves

ps: I got balls, a big mouth and just stand by what I believe in!

Regards,

Drasq

because its my baby.
And its totally biased and makes the guide/build sound kick *** which is exactly what appeals to everything. If you dont try to sell it, nobody will buy, as very few people enjoy listening to wholly rational and unexciting guides that offer no blowing up of heads or fountain diving octakills.
