Great guide overall, however adding a counters guide to gangplank would be very helpful as well. Upvoted! Please +Rep me :)

You have a nice guide here, GP is also one of my favorites, and yes, he is highly underplayed =/

Randuin's Omen is quite usefull when you get focused a lot, but I dont feel that its active is used to its fullest since you are not in the middle of a team fight.

As stated above, you dont have much Arp and that can be detrimental to fight tankish teams.

See you around ^^

Looks pretty solid; I do have a few suggestions:

Marks/quints: You go straight ad which will help some early game, but you don't get any armor pen. Even late game when your crits would be doing ~1200 or so, a lot of that is going to be lost if they have full armor. I'm not saying get Last Whisper unless they really stack armor, but armor pen runes are solid all game. Ghostblade might help there as well

Otherwise, you might want to make Atma's Impaler a more standard item. 3k health is that much better with more armor, you use the crit chance, and you get ~60 damage out of it. Really fits him well.

Overall, I do like it way better than all those glass cannon builds out there.

Here's that review you wanted. Enjoy.

Runes

  • Alternative runes? The set you have is good, but you could also list some other options. Crit chance, armor pen, flat MR and mp5 are all things you may want to look into. One of my friends runs mp5 runes on gangplank and can harass with Q every time it's off cd without running out of mana. It's pretty strong against champions who are vulnerable to kiting and zoning.

Masteries

Summoner Spells

  • Alistar's and Poppy's CC cannot be Cleansed. You might want to fix that.
  • Heal is much more viable than it used to be. You could mention it as an optional spell.

Items

  • Doran's Blade is not a good starting item for top laners, especially Gangplank. Try starting with Boots or Cloth Armor instead.
  • You might want a Last Whisper in your build somewhere. You could probably replace Phantom Dancer since you already have a good amount of crit, MS and AS, and Gangplank doesn't use AS as much as other melees.
  • You're going to need some more defense earlier. It's up to you how you rearrange your build, but get some survivability before you finish Trinity Force.
  • No lifesteal? Wriggle's Lantern should be listed as situational, if not core.
  • Black Cleaver is utterly terrible on Gangplank, just so you know. Youmuu's Ghostblade and Last Whisper are both much better options for armor pen.

General Suggestions

  • Against some opponents, I find it more beneficial to last-hit mostly with autoattacks and use Parrrley to harass the opponent as much as possible. Against low-sustain opponents, this is really effective and allows you to zone instead of just passively farming. Last-hitting with Q is still good, but often your mana is better used damaging the enemy, unless you know that they're just going to sustain it off.
  • Could definitely use some more gameplay content. You have a good amount of info regarding your build, but not much about actually playing Gangplank.
  • Formatting is a bit bland. Try to make your guide a little more attractive if possible. Your situational items section is particularly dull.

Can't think of much else. Hope this proves helpful and let me know if you have any questions.
