So, why doesn't Trinity Force get AP? Isn't it just a Duo-Force with extra attack speed now? I don't see where "Force" applies to the Stinger.

Jax gets far too strong once he gets Trinity Force, Blade of the Ruined King and any tanky item, like Randuin's Omen or just Warmog's Armor.

100% on Corki, it was and always will be core for utility - ult poke dmg. Trinity TF ? wtf never heard about it. The Question is Kogmaw. IMO it depends on lane match up.

As of patch 3.11 Trinity Force is now amazing on Hecarim! His damage from auto attacks is amazing due to Warpath. Trinity Force is now a core item on Hecarim. It is his best damage item in the game right now. It gives him almost everything he needs and nothing bad for him. The spell blade on Trinity Force is great on Hecarim because of his super short CD on Rampage

When you look closely at Jax, you discover that he actually is a walking Trinity Force. Every stat on Trinity Force (except crit and movement speed, but those never hurt) synergizes with Jax's kit!

Hextech Gunblade is very nice on Jax, not because it directly synergizes with his kit, but because it amplefies the strengths that Trinity Force gives Jax.

Hextech Gunblade and/or Blade of the Ruined King already give you a strong slow. You don't need more, maybe just Frozen Mallet or Randuin's Omen. And, the combination of Guinsoo's Rageblade+ Giant's Belt gives you more HP, AS, AD and AP for less price. Of course, you loose the proc, but who needs that proc on Jax anyway.

My Normal 6 items build:

Why would you need Trinity Force? I think you can get Guinsoo's Rageblade already after Bilgewater Cutlass.

I'm actually of the same opinion. In a game with Jax, I built Mercury's Treads, Frozen Gauntlet, Frozen Mallet and was thinking about what to build next (in the end, I settled for a Guardian Angel, since that's what I usually get after Tri-Force) and I was thinking of building Statikk Shiv or Zephyr, so I basically had a more powerful Trinity Force in more items, built from Sheen, Phage and Zeal respectively, lol. I came to the conclusion... why not just build the not-as-strong, but slot/money efficient Trinity Force instead of buying 3 stronger ~3K items?

Well maybe its because i get WAY to fed early on haha
As to your question, I like Tri force a bit better.
1. I haven't used frozen gaunlet as much
2. I like they movement speed Trinity Force gives you.

Well, in S3, I've found that building Hextech Gunblade delays his game far too much. Not to mention that Blade of the Ruined King seems to be better for him anyway.

My only real question is - Is Frozen Gauntlet better on Jax than Trinity Force?

LOL off the topic of Trinity Force but i feel like Hextech Gunblade gives him the occasional slow he need to catch up to people and gank. I also feel it gives amazing stats for his kill set. In s2 however, I considered Trinity Force a core item

I'm still building Trinity Force on Jax. However, I don't consider Hextech Gunblade core on Jax. That, though, is a discussion for another time.

Trinity Force is a ******ed strong items on certain champions. However for Jax, I usually finish my Hextech Gunblade and move on to a [[Guinsoo's Rageblade].

It doesn't suck on everyone.
It's still good on Irelia.
Not sure about Jax.
Still okay on Ez too.

It sucks on everyone now. Who gets it on Jax is just ******ed, you have way better options. Guinsoo's Rageblade for halve the cost gives you more.

It is currently a mistake, but it "15 Movement Speed Multiplier" means a 15 % increase to your movement speed. Don't worry about it, though. It will be fixed ^^

I've played a lot of heroes, but I've still yet to perfect any that would prefer this item. The problems are that the price is skyhigh, 4k+, probably the highest in the game, and the stats are so broad that you probably don't want half of what is on this. If you're a caster you don't want the attack speed/crit or procs. If you're a tank or dps hero you might not want the mana. Most heroes won't want AD+AP together either. For most, it's either one or the other. If you do like both, like the rare hero such as Akali, you likely don't want the other stats.(Like she doesn't use mana, so why get an item with +mana? It baffles me as to why that is on her recommended list. They get +mana items on heroes that don't use it! Riot doesn't know how to play their own game. I wish I could fight them in my games.)

What hero would want this thing? Maybe Rammus? He uses AD+AP, is a tank that uses mana and might like the procs so he can stay in melee range and have some extra dps... but it has no armor or resists... which is what you'd likely want to stack all game with that hero. See the problem here? No matter who you pick, there will always be something you want that you won't get(When you paid 4kg), or something here you don't want(Which you paid for). Seriously, try naming 1 hero that gets full use out of this or one that this item is actually worth getting on.

I use to try to put this to use myself on heroes like Caitlyn or Graves. I felt stupid later for even trying. It felt like a handicap, because I spent 4kg but got almost no dps or survival out of it. 4kg could have bought a 3k Bloodthirster+1k boot, or countless other items I can name in the 1-2k area on top of the 1k boot, such as the Phantom Dancer+Black Cleaver. Add those together and compare their stats/cost to this.

Bottom line is that this thing is a scam. Just pretend it doesn't exist. When you get this item, people laugh at you.

On most champions most of the stats on this item are unnecessary, but on champions with abilities that apply on hit effects such as gankplank's Parrrley, Ezreal's Mystic Shot, or even Nasus's Siphoning Strike. For example, Parrrley has 100% AD scaling, but with this item's passive you get an extra 150% AD scaling which totals to 250% AD scaling. AP champs, however, are better off to buy Lich Bane.

So many hybrid auto-attackers...AS, AD, AP, HP, MP, on hit slow, and a 150% AD Proc on next attack...I could strap this thing to my pet hamster and rock summoner's rift man...U serious bro? It's not like you aren't building bad-*** items along the way...Zeal, Sheen!?, Phage? I call shenanigans on you my friend! Even if you have a champ that has a few skills that scale with AP like Miss Fortune for example...build straight AD and just pop this baby on late game like a cherry on a deadly cupcake for that beautiful on hit slow and that sexy AD proc and a boost to your ap scaling abilities...i mean...right?

Trinity Force is an incredible item if you use it on the right champions. As a general rule, most tanky melee ADs can make good use of this item. Anyone like Gangplank, Ezreal or Corki who can make good use of the proc is also a good candidate. Since the passive works off of your BASE AD, it doesn't matter as much if you build any offensive items after it. Some champions, like Nasus, can just buy a Trinity Force and build full tank items afterwards. It may be expensive, but it's worth it if you know when to buy it and on which champions it works best.
