Hey, I´m playing Jayce top like described in this guide ( http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/build/the-comprehensive-guide-to-jayce-top-232899 ) with some variations. Can I use this Build also for mid or are there other items better ( like Frozen Mallet, Guardian Angel)?

Since mid laners have like 0 magic resist jayce would be a pretty good midlaner. You might want to get a hexdrinker for some magic resist and damage. PS don't build chalice because you're already building tear.

Mid Jayce is built as more of an carry than a bruiser. You get a LW, Muramana, and a BT. Probably CDR boots. Your last two items can be tanky, but you need damage when you start.
