I'll just start off by saying that no it is NOT because it is the recommended items to start with from Riot. I choose what I start with depending on who I am against and most of the time, it is boots and pots. Many times the extra move speed is nice in laning phase when avoiding a melee opponent and with the 4 pots it is a nice supplement against a really aggressive opponent. The players I go against are much different on a skill scale than everyone else's and where I stand, boots and pots have been the best way to go. Doran's Ring is now a great start item with everything it offers. I will edit to reflect that it is a good start item.

"I normally start Boots of Speed and four Health Potions. A simple Doran's Ring with a Health Potion is a starting item for those new to Veigar. "

What is your reasoning behind sarting with boots? That's more of an S2 build and starting with doran's or even a flask is a much better start in this pre-season. In most cases anyway.

The Deathfire Grasp argument is a good thought. I agree that it is a must on Veigar for the extra cooldown reduction on his skills that are at a relatively high cooldown and the extra ability power is very nice. It can also to make your opponent explode even harder but that should be a given that he should already be able to do that without the amplified damage. I don't necessarily agree on rushing it though. Sure the 15% of the targets maximum health is good but against other squishies, mainly an opposing mage, that doesn't really help a whole lot since your burst should be able to destroy them by itself. I would get Rabadon's Deathcap if I am winning for 30% more ability power at only 200 more gold.

I'm aware that the guide does not need the lore, it's just in there for fun. I like the mention of Greater Seal of Armor since there are more AD middle laners that are being released.

I finally got the masteries up and I would appreciate some feedback on it. Thanks for the views, votes, and feedback everyone! :)

Guide doesn't need a lore.

You should mention alternative runes:
Greater Seal of Armor against AD

I kinda don't agree with this guide. DFG is a must have on Veigar and should be rushed as soon as possible (Unless you're really far behind.)

1+ easy to read and colorful. I'd put your changelog at the bottom though, it kinda takes away from your hard work.

I don't really agree with your runes as veigar is very squishy and he needs to run some defenses. No matter how amazing you are you are going to get hit... a lot. Health is a poor defense. I would much rather have 15 AP to help with early kills and last hitting with baleful strike. Taking flat armor seals will reduce minion damage and might just save your life in an early turret dive

I would suggest accualy just goin for the normal start with Flash and Ignite like always, and if you take Meki Pendant, then take 1 health and 1 mana potion. Or just take the usual Boots 2 mana and 1 health potion ( or other way around, depends who you going against as ) Void Staff. If people decide goin to take Archange Staff then its worth it but if start with boots I usually jsut go for another Rabadon or Lich Bane or Rod if Ages, just depends what you feel like going for, but if someone shares one of the blue he is good with mana. But its only how i like to go so, yea.

Like the build +1 !!! Great Job!!!
