What os? Made sure your network will allow a local server to be hosted?
Windows 7 Professional Edition. My network allows local servers. It used to work before anyway until lately.
I also flushed the DNS cache because that's the only thing I changed before localhost stopped working.
I installed an old version of EasyPHP, it uses the port 8887 for Apache, still doesn't work.
Oh btw, Administration stopped working aswell.

I am using EasyPHP and I want to install Symfony 2. I did the casual steps (putting the Symfony folder in my local web folder, updated the variable environments and such) and the final step consists in accessing the localhost (127.0.0.1) and defining the front controller in the url so I can configure Symfony.
The problem is, I can't access the localhost. Apache and MySQL are running correctly, EasyPHP seems to be fine. The Apache logs seem normal.
The 80 port though seems to not be used when I run the test. Which means Apache doesn't connect correctly even though the green "Ok" shows in EasyPHP's client.
Anyone have an idea, or can double check the logs? I've tried everything, messed around with the hosts file, the httpd.conf file, switched ports, it just won't work. I've also reinstalled EasyPHP and tried WAMP, same result :/
