I experimented some with soloing my first buff and there are only a few champs that I can do it with and not feel like I get set too far behind( Lee Sin, Elise, Warwick). If nothing else, have your bot lane leash and auto 3 times. That way, they shouldn't really miss out on EXP. It's actually better IMO if they miss out on just a little XP if it gets you off to a good start in the jungle. Better to have the jungler in a position to gank or countergank then having to back because no one leashed.

Always have a leash, always start nearest to Bot lane. It doesn't matter that you can do it by yourself, you shouldn't be anyways. (Unless you're Shaco) It saves precious time and resources to leash for your jungler.
If you want to help me, teach me.

I wouldn't say 'always'. It's a lot harder for Evelynn to start red buff than blue.
