Help with runes

Hi, I just reached level 20 and I need help with my runes, I don't know what runes to buy.

Are these ok for example ?

I want one page for AD and one page for AP.

Ye that's fine.

For AD you have many options.

Most standard is:

Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage/ greater quintessence of armor penetration

4x Greater Seal of Armor & 5x Greater Seal of Health

Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist

Greater Mark of Attack Damage

For basic pages, I would suggest:

AD Quints
Flat Magic Resist Glyphs
Armour Seals
AD Marks

AP Quints
Flat Magic Resist Glyphs
Armour Seals
Magic Penetration Marks

These are tailored to most circumstances for those respective roles.

All depends on the mtchup tbh.

If you're up against a full AD team, MR glyphs become useless.
If you're up against AD in lane, but there's enough AP damage on opposing team, go scaling MR.
If you're up against an APC, it's better to go flat MR.

And so on.

Well I can only afford these 2 pages for now so I guess I can't make them perfect right ?

I mean, I don't think there is a perfect combination that you could go for in a rune page, they all have pluses and minuses.

I just want to know if your combination for AD is suited for more type of matchup than the one I posted.

And what about the AP one ? I see that you didn't mention it.

For the AD one, my first suggestion can never go wrong. The reason I mix those Seals is because Health has been buffed, but armor helps you more in the long run.

The AP one you suggested; It's great. But there's a lot of AD midlaners nowadays so MR glyphs become useless in such a lane (and runes are primarily for the early stages of the game). Then it would be better to swap them for flat CDR or just pure AP.

Along the way you'll increase your rune pages and knowledge on runes, trust me:) You'll know for yourself when to take which rune page. This is particularly for draft/ranked games, when you know who your opponents are.

Your runes are fine, just buy a third AD quint to replace your lifesteal quint at some point. You can think about getting more runes (attack speed quints for ADC or jungle, CDR or AP glyphs for AD matchups etc.) when you have more rune pages.

Armor and hp always come in useful, because minions and autoattacks always deal physical damage anyway.

Magic resist can be slightly redundant, but most ADCs have magic damage skills anyway, so it's not like the magic resist is wasted.
