Video Guide
.

Hello everyone! I've finally released a very in-depth video guide for Bloodrazor Kayle in Top, Mid, and partially Jungle. I really hope you guys enjoy and learn something if you are not willing to read this guide and watch the video instead. I don't cover absolutely everything I covered in this guide on the video, but for the most part, it's pretty much the same thing in a really long video format. Thank you all so much for waiting.

Introduction

Summoner Insight

.
Hello! I am Zombotrox. I would say I am "summoner Zombotrox", but as of May 2016, that hasn't been the case. I went from summoner Zombotrox to summoner Z0MB0TR0X (Zombotrox with zeros instead of O's) to summoner Poppy Only Plz, to summoner Not Zombotrox, and now summoner Zombuttocks (account currently not created). I have so many summoner names because I've been permanently banned on each account for negative behavior. Zombotrox ended Gold II, Z0MB0TR0X ended Silver V (did not play Kayle on this account except for one game that I decided to troll and went 0/7/0), Poppy Only Plz ended with Gold II, and Not Zombotrox ended with Silver I. I would be a higher rank, but I flame too much and get permanently banned too easily, but that doesn't matter if the skill and knowledge of Kayle sticks with me.
.
.
I would also quickly like to mention that I decided to make this guide because every other Kayle guide I've looked at has been trash and I just despise all of them. Most to all of the Kayle guides I've seen are AP and AP Kayle is just so weak compared to AD Kayle. I am also probably one of the only Kayle players who actually takes Smite into the lane which is one of my unique traits as a Kayle main.
.
.
I have been a Kayle main since a little after the Poppy rework. I was unhappy with the way Poppy ended up, and if I wanted to continue playing League, I had to find a different champion to main. The champion I chose to main was Kayle.
.
.
Kayle was a nice champion to pick in my eyes because old Poppy had an ultimate ( Diplomatic Immunity) that gave her invulnerability from all champions damage and immunity to crowd control, except for the champion of her choosing. Kayle's ultimate ( Intervention) also gives her invulnerability to damage, except the invulnerability is from all damage sources unlike Poppy's, although crowd control can still be taken. I mostly chose to pick Kayle to main because of the sustain that her ultimate gives and how she can turret dive and such.
.
.
I will eventually be streaming on Twitch so you guys can see the way I play Kayle. If you guys are interested in that, here is the link to my Twitch!

Guide Preview
.
In this guide, I will be talking about the reasons I take the certain Summoner Spells I've chosen for Top, Mid, and Jungle on Kayle and why I pretty much don't take any other Summoner Spells even if it would be a good situational choice. I will also be talking about the Runes and Masteries I run, her abilities, my most used item build on her, how to deal with your first jungle clear, which specific jungle camp you should do when laning, and how to kite jungle camps properly (coming soon!).

Smite Teleport Combo

Smite Teleport Combo
.

I will start by explaining why I take Teleport in the jungle, then I will move on to explaining why I take Smite Top and Mid instead of a different summoner spell like Flash, Ghost, etc. Teleport on laning Kayle in my opinion is essential, so I don't think it should be a questionable thing to run in lane. Just in case you end up questioning it anyway, I take Teleport on laning Kayle because of the same reason anyone would take Teleport in lane. That explanation would be to get back to lane faster, to not miss out on CS/gold, being able to gank from top/mid by teleporting, and the ability to backdoor during later parts of the game. I just preferably do not like to take Ghost or Flash and would not like to replace Teleport with one of them. Now to explaining taking Teleport in the jungle.
.
.
I like to take Teleport in the jungle because although there was a nerf to teleport that increased the casting time by one second in Patch 6.13, I still feel like it's good to surprise gank with. Not just that, but if a lane is across the map and you need to get there as soon as possible, you can just use Teleport to get there quickly. Pretty much I take Teleport on Jungle Kayle for map presence, backdooring potential, and surprise ganking. Now to explaining taking Smite in lane.
.
.
I really enjoy taking Smite in lane because Challenging Smite is extremely overpowered in the lane. Getting Skirmisher's Sabre on your first back, or once you get it in general gives you extremely well dueling potential. This is because Challenging Smite will make the enemy do reduced damage to you and make you do extra true damage to the enemy. Moving away from Challenging Smite, I want to talk about Skirmisher's Sabre - Bloodrazor.
.
.
Getting Skirmisher's Sabre - Bloodrazor as laning Kayle is also extremely overpowered. The reason why it's so overpowered is because once you buy Hunter's Machete as your first item, you only have to gain 2275 gold to finish your first whole item which would be Bloodrazor. Since you need to gain such a small amount of gold, this means that you will finish your first whole item before your enemy laner finishes theirs. Another thing is that Bloodrazor's passive is similar in passives with Blade of the Ruined King except Bloodrazor does 4% of the target's maximum health in bonus physical damage vs. Blade of the Ruined King doing 6% of the target's current health in bonus physical damage. So technically Bloodrazor is a stronger and cheaper buy compared to getting Blade of the Ruined King first (like I used to) in lane if you were not to take Smite.
.
.
In brief, taking Smite in lane makes you do more damage and opens up an opportunity to buy Skirmisher's Sabre - Bloodrazor which is a really good and gold efficient item, especially as a first whole item buy. Taking Smite in lane also makes you get a first whole item before your opponent which makes you do a lot more damage than them and chunk through any resistance that they've bought. Taking Teleport is good in lane to backdoor, not miss out on CS, and gives you more map presence. Taking Teleport is good in the jungle for all the reasons from laning and also giving you an opportunity to gank even though you're all the way on the other side of the map.

Runes And Masteries

Runes
.
I like to run pure attack speed runes because it just makes you chunk so much faster and makes you do a whole lot of damage and apply lots of poke early on into the game. I would prefer having attack speed over cooldown just because I like attack speed a lot more, but that's just my preference. I also prefer attack speed over Armor because I'd rather do damage instead of being so defensive. Once you hit Level 6 anyways, you get an ultimate that negates all damage for a good amount of time where Armor would be useless, but attack speed would determine if you kill them or not.

Masteries
.
I like to run 18/12/0 in masteries because Fervor of Battle just does a lot more than any other keystone on Kayle, especially with this build and how you'd attack fast to get all the stacks of Fervor of Battle .
.
.
.
Double Edged Sword
.
Going Double Edged Sword is a lot better than going Feast because you already have your Divine Blessing(W) to heal up anyways plus doing more damage is just a lot better so you can execute people a lot faster. Information on the Feast mastery can be found here. Taking Expose Weakness would just be silly.
.
.
.
Vampirism
.
Vampirism is better than Natural Talent because you just get that tiny bit of life steal which will help you throughout the entire game. The AP and AD per level through Natural Talent is not worth it compared to the life steal.
.
.
.
Bounty Hunter
.
Bounty Hunter is better than Oppressor because dealing 5% extra damage as a maximum compared to only 2.5% extra damage from Oppressor only when the enemy has impaired movement is a lot better especially since you are playing Kayle as a hyper carry. Have the mindset that you're going to kill all five of the enemy and that you will have the bonus 5% damage output.
.
.
.
Battering Blows
.
Battering Blows is better than Piercing Thoughts because since you are building AD Kayle, you are going to be doing a lot more AD than AP. Having the Armor Penetration makes it so that you do the most possible damage even if the enemy has Armor. Having the Armor Penetration also makes it so that if they have Armor, it won't matter as much.
.
.
.
Fervor of Battle
.
Fervor of Battle is better than both Warlord's Bloodlust and Deathfire Touch because Fervor of Battle makes you do a lot more damage, especially since you auto attack a lot, and you don't really need the bonus life steal that Warlord's Bloodlust gives because you have a Divine Blessing(W) to heal up and it just doesn't give extra damage. Kayle does not need any extra life steal from Warlord's Bloodlust especially since doing more damage would be better than having life steal since she has an ultimate ( Intervention) that already makes her capable of having her health at a stable state. Deathfire Touch just shouldn't be an option since Kayle uses her auto attacks more than her abilities. Deathfire Touch would do nothing once she uses her Q ( Reckoning).
.
.
.
Savagery
.
Savagery is better than Wanderer because it makes shoving a lot easier and jungle clearing a lot faster. The extra movement speed from Wanderer is not worth it compared to the extra damage you can do to creeps from Savagery. Information on the Savagery mastery can be found here.
.
.
.
Assassin
.
Assassin is better than Runic Affinity and Secret Stash because as Kayle, you're probably going to be fighting alone a lot, especially in the early game, and when you're in lane, you fight as a solo laner. Assassin would make you do more damage to your laning opponent in a duel. You do not really need the extra buff timer from Runic Affinity when you can just get extra damage and you won't buy a lot of pots in general so Secret Stash just isn't worth it.
.
.
.
Merciless
.
Merciless is better than Meditation because Kayle doesn't use much mana so she does not need the mana regeneration, plus the same reason I've been stating the entire time, damage over everything.[.center]
.
.
.
Dangerous Game
.
Dangerous Game is better than Bandit for obvious reasons. If you're not a support, you never really run Bandit , plus Dangerous Game can make you get out alive in a situation that might've killed you if you didn't even have it.

Abilities

Abilities
.
Order: E W E Q E R E W E W R W W Q Q R Q Q
.
Max Order: R > E > W > Q
.
.
Intervention
.

I like to max Kayle's R ( Intervention) as soon as possible for the obvious reason that it is an ultimate. Most ultimates in the game, you max first. The reason why you max Kayle's R first is because it makes the timer for the invulnerability you get when ulting last longer. The invulnerability timer for all three levels is 2s/2.5s/3s. Per ability increase after the first point adds an extra .5 seconds to the invulnerability.
.
.
.
Righteous Fury
.

I like to max Kayle's E ( Righteous Fury) first because the magic damage on hit enhancer on it goes from 10 at one point into Righteous Fury up to 30 at five points. That's a lot of extra damage compared to the first point (obviously) and since you're going to be auto attacking a lot, it's safe to say that Righteous Fury is the best to max first.
.
.
.
Divine Blessing
.

I like to max Kayle's W ( Divine Blessing) second because the movement speed buff on it is really good, especially at max level as it goes from 18% at one point to 30% at five points. Having this maxed second is better than having Reckoning maxed second since you're not building AP and all you will use Reckoning for is to slow.
.
.
.
Reckoning
.

I like to max Kayle's Q ( Reckoning) last because as explained in the description for Divine Blessing, all you will use Reckoning for is to slow and nothing else. The only other thing you'd really use it for is to kill someone at around 10 HP if you can't get in range of auto attacking them. Since you're not building AP, you won't do damage with this ability. Just max it last.

Common Item Build

Berserker's Greaves
.
Berserker's Greaves is better than any other boots choices because it gives 35% Attack Speed for only 1100 total gold. Not only that, but on Kayle, it is the best boots choice as it gives Attack Speed which is one of the main focuses of this Kayle build to the most possible damage output.
.
.
.
Skirmisher's Sabre - Bloodrazor
.
Skirmisher's Sabre - Bloodrazor is a great buy because it is really cheap and it's the best jungle item on Kayle as it gives lots of Attack Speed, has a passive that chunks people that build Armor, and Skirmisher's Sabre's Challenging Smite is just the best smite to take compared to Stalker's Blade's Chilling Smite. This is because Challenging Smite allows you to do a lot more damage to a chosen opponent and lets them do less damage to you. Tracker's Knife should never be an option on Kayle.
.
.
.

Guinsoo's Rageblade
.
Guinsoo's Rageblade is a must buy on Kayle because once you get it to full stacks, it makes on-hit attacks proc twice. This effect stacking with both your Skirmisher's Sabre - Bloodrazor and Blade of the Ruined King will make you chunk people really quickly, especially tanks. Just an overall essential and overpowered item on Kayle.
.
.
.

Blade Of The Ruined King
.
Blade of the Ruined King is a good buy for Kayle because its active gives you a slow which will give you the capability to catch opponents and kill them. Its active also makes you able to position yourself so that you will land each auto with Righteous Fury without being out of range. Blade of the Ruined King's passive also makes it so that you can chunk people, especially squishies, very quickly since each auto will make it so that you deal 6% of the target's current health in bonus physical damage. The Guinsoo's Rageblade passive will make you deal even more damage with the Blade of the Ruined King. Blade of the Ruined King also gives 40% Attack Speed and the more Attack Speed Kayle has, the scarier she is.
.
.
.
Infinity Edge
.
Infinity Edge is a good buy for Kayle because it gives one of the highest AD in the entire game. Also, having critical strikes on Kayle is just insane. Your critical strikes doing 250% damage instead of 200% will obviously make you do a lot more damage. Having Attack Speed with crit enables you to do a lot more damage than if you were to buy something else besides Infinity Edge.
.
.
.
Lord Dominik's Regards
.
Lord Dominik's Regards is a good item on Kayle because there will almost always be a tank on the enemy team. The tanks can be a nuisance since you won't be able to chunk them as fast as the squishies. With Lord Dominik's Regards, you will be able to chunk tanks as if they had no Armor at all and if they were a squishy champion themselves. With this entire item build, the enemy team building Armor will not really do anything, especially once you build this item. It's also a really cheap buy that helps you a ton especially during late game.

Your First Jungle Clear

Your First Jungle Clear
.
On your first jungle clear, start at the Ancient Krug camp. Always start at the Ancient Krug camp and never start Gromp or anywhere else. Make sure to Smite the Ancient Krug the moment it spawns so you get the stun buff from it. Stay far enough that you are able to kite it and let your ally top/bot lane tank just a little of the damage. These pointers are only if you are actually playing the role as a jungler, not a laner. After the Ancient Krug camp, move on to the Crimson Raptor camp. After the Crimson Raptor camp, go to the Greater Murk Wolf camp. After the Greater Murk Wolf camp, Gromp. After Gromp, go ahead and back. After you back, buy the items I've recommended then go ahead and clear the entire jungle starting from the Ancient Krug camp.
.
.
Note: If you have enough HP after fighting Gromp on your first jungle clear, you can start doing your blue ( Blue Sentinel). Make sure to kite it efficiently so that you do not get executed since you should already have like 200-400 HP after doing Gromp.

Which Jungle Camp Do I Do When Laning?

Which Jungle Camp Do I Do When Laning?
.
Before heading to lane, you want to do one jungle camp and one jungle camp only. After doing that jungle camp, you want to head straight to your designated lane. The question is, which jungle camp do you do when laning?
.
.

On Blue Side Playing Top
.
If you're on the blue side playing as a top laner, you want to always start at the Greater Murk Wolf camp. This is because it's the second closest mini camp to top lane and you'll take the least amount of damage from it. If your jungler is also starting in the top side jungle, who cares. Go ahead and take the Greater Murk Wolf camp then head to top lane.
.
.

On Blue Side Playing Mid
.
If you're on the blue side playing as a mid laner, always start the Greater Murk Wolf camp. Do not start at the Crimson Raptor camp because they do more damage compared to the Wolves (or I believe so). It's also one of the closest camps to mid lane. If your jungler is also starting in the top side jungle, who cares. Go ahead and take the Greater Murk Wolf camp then head to mid lane.
.
.

On Red Side Playing Top
.
If you're on the red side playing top, start at the Ancient Krug camp. If your jungler is starting Krugs, go ahead and do the Crimson Raptor camp instead. Raptors is the second closest mini camp to top lane if you don't start at Krugs.
.
.

On Red Side Playing Mid
.
If you're on the red side playing as a mid laner, always start at the Greater Murk Wolf camp. Do not start at the Crimson Raptor camp because they do more damage compared to the Wolves (or I believe so). It's also one of the two mini camps closest to mid lane. If your jungler is also starting in the top side jungle, don't leash them and just take the Wolves.
.
.

When You Should Counter Jungle At Level 1 (Top)
.
This is my personal preference on when you should counter jungle at Level 1 when playing the role of a top laner. You can invade the enemy blue if you're playing top on the red side, but I do not recommend even bothering to invade if you're Level 1 on the red side as a top laner. This is because the blue buff ( Crest Of Insight) is not as good to have in lane at Level 2 than the red buff ( Crest of Cinders). This is because all blue buff will give you is mana regeneration and cooldown which you do not really need at early levels especially since Kayle doesn't use much mana early on. Red buff on the other hand makes you deal extra damage on hit and applies a burn over time as well as a slow. This comes to a huge advantage when you're poking your opponent at Level 2 in lane when they'll just be Level 1. They'll most likely be forced out of lane if you succeed in poking them excessively.
.
.
Also, make sure to only invade the enemy red buff if you know for sure they're starting on the blue buff end of their jungle. You don't want to get into a fight in the enemy jungle at Level 1 as you need to get back to lane as soon as possible. You also want to careful when counter jungling as it may be warded. If everyone is in lane and all seems safe, enjoy the free red buff!
.
.

When You Should Counter Jungle At Level 1 (Mid)
.
The same rules apply to counter jungling as the top edition of "When You Should Counter Jungle At Level 1". The only difference from Mid and Top counter jungling at Level 1 is that you have the opportunity to take the enemy red buff regardless of what side you are on (blue or red). Just make sure it's safe and do not be too careless. Remember, you have Teleport, not Ghost or Flash.

This is one video since it was a stream, but it has two games provided in it. I have an annotation leading to sections of the video where the games start. I hope you guys learn something and most importantly hope you guys learn from my mistakes. I made numerous mistakes like going back into fights and other stuff while being low on health. Enjoy!

I would also like to note that this account's current rank is Silver III. Gameplay may not be as good as you'd think since the MMR is so low. My MMR will raise if I do not get banned and I will provide better quality gameplay in the future.

Conclusion

Conclusion
.

I am a very experienced Kayle player and know exactly what I am talking about. Magic Damage Kayle used to be a lot better when Sated Devourer was a thing, but sadly those days are over and we must move on. The release of Bloodrazor made laning Smite Kayle possible while back when Sated Devourer was still out, carrying Smite on laning Kayle was debatable since you needed jungle camps to stack Sated Devourer.
.
.
I will be attaching my WLR with Kayle from numerous accounts as of the making of this guide. Feel free to add [PENDING SUMMONER NAME] if you have any questions or if you would just like to chat. Thank you so much for reading and I look forward to seeing you dominate with this Kayle build in all of your games!
