Spells:
Smite
Flash
Ability Order
Umbra Blades (PASSIVE)
Nocturne Passive Ability
Introduction
Pros:
Cons:
-
Very tanky DPS build.
Great ganker early and late game with ult.
Ghost allows for ganks at lvl 4 after clearing first jungle.
Speed boost from Duskbringer can both chase enemies AND be your escape route with fear.
Spell shield can often save you from attacks like Karthus' ult or CC.
Fear... nuff said.
Umbra Blade bonus can lead to unexpected group damage.
Very fast jungler.
Cons:
-
Can be a bit difficult to master at first.
Hard to not over-jump enemies with your ult. The urge... YOU MUST FIGHT IT!
Fear can be flashed/blinked out of rather effortlessly.
Mana thirsty mid and even late game at times. Blue buff reliant.
... They call you OP. :)
Greater Mark of DesolationGreater Mark of Desolation
Greater Mark of Alacrity
Greater Glyph of Alacrity
Greater Quintessence of Strength
For marks I take armor pen for obvious reasons. As his Umbra Blades is improved by attack speed, I take alacrity in both seals and glyphs. If you want a bit more magic resistance early on because you just SMELL Karthus on the other team, grab Greater Glyph of Magic Resist instead. To clear the jungle faster and deal more damage in early ganks, I grab 3 damage quints.

For obvious reasons, I take Smite as a jungler. For my 2nd spell, I am often torn between Ghost and Flash. With the current meta STILL being Flash heavy even after hits nerf, as well as the nerf to his E's tether range, I find Flash to be more consistent now for Nocturne to keep up with blinking champions.
His
Duskbringer is his best farming ability so I get it whenever I can. it is also a great area of effect nuke to hit people who are JUST about to get away. The AD damage boost makes it THAT much better. Even post-"nerf," he is still beastly with his Q. His
Shroud of Darkness gives him a bit more attack speed for the jungle so I take it 2nd, but I never get it again until I have to. I then get any point I'm not getting on
Duskbringer on
Unspeakable Horror and
Paranoia just for a bit more fear and a LOT more range.
So how DOES this bad boy jungle. Well start off at blue-buff because he is very mana-reliant in order for him to spam his Duskbringer. Have mid or the top solo leash for you, then IMMEDIATELY Duskbringer the golem AND the small monsters and start going to town on the golem. Pop a potion once they finally start attacking you and every time your potion is gone. Smite it at start just so you have enough time for it to cool down before red buff.
From here, go take the wolves in the same fashion after you get a point in your Shroud of Darkness. The attack speed boost REALLY helps this early in the game. Continue from there to the wraith camp, and at level 3, get another point in your Duskbringer. From here you should be able to get red buff with no problem. Initiate with Duskbringer and HAVE TRUST in your potions and Umbra Blades to keep you up. Smite when you can, and once it's done, move on to small golems.
After smalls (and level 4 if you have the XP boost from the masteries... YOU BETTER HAVE THE XP BOOST!!!), go for a quick gank. Initiate with your Duskbringer, and if you hit, pop ghost and chase em. Once you get in range, fear them with Unspeakable Horror and start wailing on them with auto attacks. If they're low enough and your lanemates AREN'T stupid... you should be able to kill him before he kills you. CAUTION: After smalls you WILL PROBABLY be around 400 health. Do not let this stop you from a a SMART gank. Don't go for a stupid one against a fully healed Mordekaiser for example. However if mid is getting low on mana... doesn't have flash... is half dead... and might be brain-dead?... Go at em.
