This build is effective through all stages of a match.

- With runes starting at over a 20% crit chance, you will have near-instant kill power before minions have even spawned.

- Because Parrrley is based on attack power and can crit, it will be both your opening and closing shot most of the time.

- Ganking is important here. In the early stages, you will be able to win most 1v1 encounters, but once they bring in backup, you must run (Ghost finds its defensive potential here). Most of the time a full healthed enemy will engage you, not expecting the amount of burst damage coming. When their health drop by half in a matter of seconds, more often than not they will run. You have 3 options here: Parrrley is preferred. In most cases if they are low enough on health this will kill. If Parrrley is on cooldown, you might try Ghosting after them, or simply Igniting.
- Do not underestimate your Grog Blade passive; it will keep you from having to run as far after your enemies.

- Remove Scurvy is both a lifesaver and an unpleasant surprise to many a Ryze, Morgana, etc... Save this for when they open with their stun, then break out with a Parrley and a few 100% crits, closing with another Parrrley, and the other team will be scraping their Stunners off the floor.

- Lastly, you'll sell your second Avarice Blade in late game, and buy an item to counter whatever the enemy has. If they are stacking armor, Last whisper or The Black Cleaver is a good idea. On the other hand, strong AP items like Zhonya's Ring or Void Staff will dramatically increase the power of your ultimate, as well as the amount of health healed by Remove Scurvy.
