Threats to Ahri with this build
|Akali||Not difficult because your abilities can still do damage while she's in her veil. Her poke is not powerful early game so deal as much damage as you can early game. Go for pokes rather than engage.|
HI there guys and welcome to my Ahri Mid Guide. I am LegendMaster1234, an OCE player. This guide will explain to you all, Ranked and Unranked, what you should play with the Champion Ahri. This is just my opinion but I hope you will take some of this onboard as well. Ahri is a strong champion that excels in most areas so please enjoy.
Pros / Cons
- strong team fighting with Orb and Charm to take ou ADC
- High Mobility with spirit rush for ganking, chasing, dodging or running
- poke in early game with Q
- Scales into late game well
- Not so good against Champs with equal poke as her
- Relies on ganks for high mobility Champs
In ranked she is very powerful, and at lower tiers use her if they don't ban her. Ahri counters most common mid picks but if they got a Leblanc or Zed be careful. Her team fight capabilities are good as long as the opponent don't know you're there. So come in 1 second later from a different direction to deal the damage. Orb of Deception is so powerful late game as it does so much sudden damage.
This is a deeper explanation of your skill sequence.
Your Q is your main poke. Don't be afraid to use it for farming and when your passive is charged use Orb of Decption to heal as much as possible. If opponents get too close deal some damage with this. Be wary of your mana though. With blue buff focus more on the landing of it rather than mana. As it is such a good tool for you, !axing it out first is the best.
Foxfire or W is greatly underused because of its seemingly defensive properties. While it doesn't have as much poke as your other abilities it is useful for farming and engaging on the enemy. Activate it and then engage to utilise its effects to the max. We only pick this up at level 4 because of the strength of charm and Orb of Deception. We max this last because Ahri's other abilities are more vital to team fights and duels.
Charm is a sort of hook. By launching it in a team fight onto the ADC your team can demolish any enemy damage sources. It does have a high mana cost especially for early game so don't use it unless you are confident in landing it for an unleash of your combo. Lauch the charm in a team fight to pick out the ADC. Once their destroyed you can destroy your opponent. Getting this at level 2 is good because you can start with early ganks or throw a charm to save yourself from enemy ganks.
Spirit Rush is great for your mobility. You can chase, retreat or just cause difficulty for enemy skill shots. You can also use it for engaging. Like mentioned before using it with foxfire can create a lot of initial burst damage. Followed by your charm, enemies are pretty much stuck and dead. Use this when needed as it does have a reasonably average cool down of 100 seconds. Use this for running from unfair battles such as Opponent 3 vs You.
Don't be afraid to use Q to farm. A Cs lead for Ahri is useful in many ways. It allows her Orb to be maxed out faster and also allows her to get her essential items quicker. CS is minion kills for those new players out there.
Ahri is a strong mid laner so don't doubt her. Champions like her are what can turn the tide of a battle. Don't forget her Stengths and never forget this one thing. DONT CHICKEN FROM TEAM FIGHTS. If it is unwinnable such as an Opposition 4 vs Ally 2, maybe you can run but if you can even or win the fight join it. Thanks Everyone and may your games be victorious and fun. Good luck as Ahri on the Fields of Justice ( Summoners Rift).
