I don't like the fact that you start off with dorans, i think your rune setup should be different . I would rather use westrice's setup for runes as it allows me to get both passives at level 2. Bearing in mind you won't be aggressive until you got mark of assassin and shroud anyways that setup would work better. Besides you mention that akali doesn't need ad in your comments yet you start with dorans blade, with different rune setups, you can skip the doran's blade completely and go in lane with boots and 3 hp pots for more survivability. I also think that gunblade as first item is what you need rather than rushing rylais. I do not like your masteries as well, you've taken so much in the defensive tree while i run with a 21/0/9 mastery. Also you need to mention that red buff on akali before you get your rylai is a must. Other than that good effort, i just don't think that your guide is as good as others.

Looks like a nice build. I agree with you tho, normally you should grab Rylaj's first for the slow, HP and nice AP which helps a TON more in laning and ganking than spellvamp would and makes it easier to towerdive. Tho i get boots and revolver immediatly after then start to build into rabadons or lich bane, depending how good im doing. +1 from me :)

Quoted:

I dont see how your build provides any survivability when you talk about getting survivability on another person's akali guide...
Might wanna change the runes and mastery setup so you can get Akali's passive set up so that you don't have to buy Doran's Blade. (Boots are dominant in any solo lane)

Except for starting with Doran (650HP yo!), defensive runes and defensive masteries, yes it grants no survivability at all;) Late game you can get as much survivability as you wish, but early game you are very easily ganked so every help is welcome.

With 2 passives from runes/masteries you: a) waste 11 points b) leave yourself wide open in early game. You get boots very fast anyway.

I prefer to get a Hextech Revolver before the Rylai's just for that extra spell vamp. I find it rather useful when you are near death and are in a 1v1 situation and you are both near death and it isn't clear who will win. Always good to get that small advantage that could just save your life.

tbh, i would rather the tri force than the lich bane

How is triforce better then? It gives you less AP. AD you get ain't useful for AP Akali and it's very little. You get very good slow from Rylai's, and 25% chance to slow on hit is not good for champ who isn't auto-attacking mainly. Lich Bane's proc gives you ~400-500 dmg the moment you get it, while Triforce will give you ~165dmg See the difference? Now check prices and total damage output each item grants you. Triforce might have been a decent choice for Hybrid Akali if it wasn't so expensive.
