dont like this guide... sheen is one of the most important items for akali in early game ...
and if your not doing well or your team sucks for wtf do i need mejais then??
so i would put this to optional items....

Overall a good build, I like it a lot, the masteries just depend on your play style. Mejais works really well on Akali because when she does well, she does REALLY well and having a Mejais just builds on that.

as you told me in my akali build i took a look to yours

well i also give you "-1" and tell you why.

our builds are kinda similar but i totally disagree with your purchase order
rylai's at the beginning is fine but if you pick lichbane you can take it more early (maybe not that early as in my build but..). you can get that much better heal by hextec with buying lichbane since its dealing physikal damage. you buy that later if you dont go for lichbane. you´re buying it after you´re at 400-500+ AP already and till that you play with your basic spell damage.. many games don´t run till you get your items full so i would think about getting even sheen early

but do not rate my build down because of not having majai´s as main item
there are not so many builds where its contained as main item and there are reasons for that

I see your point at the Doran's blade. I'm fixing the guide all time, since it's new, so I'll try your idea, too, to take Doran's in the start of the game.

But I don't think that Mejai's is late you got only boots, Rylai's, which is extremely necessary to Akali(, Doran's Blade with it's "huge" price). Since you won't have more boost from Mejai's (without stacks) than Amplifying Tome, I see that Rylai's gives you 80 AP boost which help you to execute opponents, along with it's passive. It also brings you nice amount of HP that keeps you alive.

That's why I don't think that Mejai's is late.

I prefere dorans blade first, as i do think the spell vamp disciple works well to sustain the lane until i can go back to get the AP for the other disciple.

We have a different view about masteries. I see that going for extra damage is a good kick start bonus and helps a lot in the mid-late game. I understand well why you get the ultimate defence mastery, because she is squishy. When I play with Akali, I do not still die often; my 10 latest Akali-Games, max death amount is 5. The point here is that even a little attack brings you spell vamp + gunblade bonus, so while I execute my opponent so fast thaat they wont even always have time to react! That's nice. If I lose some HP, I just jungle on my way to next point with Q & E, so my HP come full again. Best defence is a good offense. :)

About EDIT: OOPS, mistake '^^!

The item build is really good, same as I use on Akali!
But you should check your seals..., AP per lvl seals are really bad..., better get AP per level glyphes (or even flat) and take armor seals.
You gonna activate your passive with Hextech Gunblade, I'd prefer to activate it earlier with a Doran's Blade!

The masteries are strange as well, I always use 9-21-0 for defense, +4% AP and for sure Archaic Knowledge in the offense tree. Yours seems really squishy and lacks of survivability I'd say.
