Hi, Garen is a pretty easy char to use. This should help to clear any questions you might have. I play him a tanky AD. He deals out the damage and can take it EASILY.

I get all of the major defensive subjects(HP,HR,AM,MR) It's good because they are evenly spread so that an AP Veigar cant deal tons of magic dmg, or an AD Nocturne do lots of physical dmg.

I take a pretty basic mastery build. Nothing too flashy.

You base most of your abilities off of Judgement. However, Decisive Strike is great for chasing, running from ganks, or silencing a caster char. I take Courage for it's passive effect. ALWAYS ULT AS LATE AS POSSIBLE.
