Background (This guide still works awesomly Fourth of July 2012)

In the time shortly before the League, there were those within the sinister city-state of Noxus who did not agree with the evils perpetrated by the Noxian High Command. The High Command had just put down a coup attempt from the self-proclaimed Crown Prince Raschallion, and a crack down on any form of dissent against the new government was underway. These political and social outcasts, known as the Gray Order, sought to leave their neighbors in peace as they pursued dark arcane knowledge. The leaders of this outcast society were a married couple: Gregori Hastur, the Gray Warlock, and his wife Amoline, the Shadow Witch. Together they led an exodus of magicians and other intelligentsia from Noxus, resettling their followers beyond the Great Barrier to the northern reaches of the unforgiving Voodoo Lands. Though survival was a challenge at times, the Gray Order's colony managed to thrive in a land where so many others would have failed.

Years after the exodus, Gregori and Amoline had a child: Annie. Early on, Annie's parents knew there was something special about their daughter. At the age of two, Annie miraculously ensorcelled a shadow bear - a ferocious denizen of the petrified forests outside the colony - turning it into her pet. To this day she keeps her bear ''Tibbers'' by her side, often keeping him spellbound as a stuffed doll to be carried like a child's toy. The combination of Annie's lineage and the dark magic of her birthplace have given this little girl tremendous arcane power. It is this same girl who now finds herself as one of the most sought-after champions within the League of Legends - even by the city-state that would have exiled her parents had they not fled beforehand.

"Annie may be one of the most powerful champions ever to have fought in a Field of Justice. I shudder to think of her capabilities when she becomes an adult." - High Councilor Kiersta Mandrake

Introduction

Hello guys and gals! I haven't been playing Annie for so long but I have to say she is my favorite character to play. I can usually carry the entire team even if they are all having bad games. The trick to playing Annie mid is to play really aggresive, just keep harrasing them until they are low then finish them off..

And she is not only fun to play she is also a very outstanding hero, I mean she is a kid who can summon her freaking teddybear to life!

If you wan't to zone with Annie you must first know what zoning is, here is a good video explaining:

Annies abilities

After casting 5 spells, Annie's next offensive spell will stun its target for 1.75 seconds.

This is a really nice passive, it gives her a good stun. ALWAYS have this and Tibbers ready when a teamfight starts. To get up to 5 casts use your Q to lasthit or use your E.

Annie flings a mana infused fireball dealing 85 / 125 / 165 / 205 / 245 (+70% of ability power) magic damage. Disintegrate's mana cost is refunded if it deals a killing blow.

This is my way of playing Annies main skill, you will use this to last hit, harass, initiate (sometimes) and many other things. Short cooldown.

Annie casts a cone of fire dealing 80 / 130 / 180 / 230 / 280 (+75% of ability power) magic damage to all enemy targets in the area.

This ability deals more damage then Disintegrate so why don't we max it first? Well first of all this skill is more mana hungry and has a longer cooldown then Disintegrate and it also has lower range. And it is easier to last hit with Disintegrate which will lead to more items which will give more damage. Can be used for an AoE stun if you haven't hit lvl 6 yet or if Tibbers is on cd. Medium cooldown

Places a shield around Annie for 15 seconds, increasing her armor and magic resistance by 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 50. Additionally, enemies will be dealt 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 (+20% of ability power) magic damage whenever they use autoattacks on her while the shield is active.

We only put 1 point in this at lvl 4 because your other spells are more valuable, I mostly use this to get 1 more stack towards my passive or when i'm entering a teamfight (the armor and magic resist can save you). If you get about 800 Ability power it will deal around 220

Annie releases her bear Tibbers from his toy prison, dealing 200 / 325 / 450 (+70% of ability power) magic damage to enemy units in the summon area. For a limited time of 45 seconds, Tibbers can move and attack at Annie's will, while continually dealing 35 (+20% of ability power) magic damage to surrounding enemies.
Tibbers has 1200 / 1600 / 2000 health, 30 / 50 / 70 armor, 25 / 45 / 65 magic resist and 80 / 105 / 130 attack damage.

This is one of my favorite spells in this game (after ), it is an awesome burst and after you used it you get a pet you can control with Alt+Rightclick. Use the Bear to tank towers or take blue or just tank skillshots ;). Try to initiate with Tibbers + Stun.

Before the game

Runes and masteries are pretty self-explanatory, I use the HP quints to reduce that squishyness she starts with (Starting with 400hp is not worth 15 ap..) I take those masteries because it gives me reduced cooldown, more damage, more utility (longer buff duration) and helps me last hit. You can switch the 2 points in butcher for something else, this is just how i play.

Items OF DOOM

I start with boots because i love playing aggresive as Annie, she benefits more from harrasing and zoning then from just playing passively. And starting with 3 pots really helps with trading hits, just go forward and use Q and try to dodge their skillshots (Ahri for example)and then you use a pot and you got 100% health and if your opponent starts with a dorans ring they got about 75%.
(Upgrading your boots early can help with zoning and escaping ganks!)
In the beginning you should start getting some more hp, recalling and buying a dorans ring and a ruby crystal will really help in the beginning. After you get your Rod of Ages think about what you need, need more magic resistance? Buy an Abyssal Scepter, need more armor? Buy an Hourglass! If you are winning mid then get your hat fast, Rabadons is the way to go!
Remember: The more AP you have the better, but don't forget magic penetration and survivability!

Stacking Rabadons is an easy way to gain lots of AP fast.

Skills and How to Farm

This is a pretty usual Annie build, starting with Q to help you farm and to harass then go W to do even more damage.

In an optimal condition your combo should be like this: > > > . That will melt everyone except people stacking Magic Resist.

If you are chasing someone with your stun but you are not quite in range, just use tibbers first and then and then .

How to farm:
When you try to farm you can last hit with your Q, your mana will regenerate if you get the last hit. In the beginning in the first 5 levels you are really mana hungry so you can't afford to miss to many last hits with your Q. Make sure to get many last hits by the way, it is the best way to get gold.

In late game your W will clean entire minion waves.

Working like a team / Teamfights

I have seen to many Annies thinking that their only thing to do in teamfights is to drop a Tibbers stun but it isn't, you job is to KILL. So don't leave the fight until the job is done. I'm not saying that a good Tibbers stun can't turn the battle because it can. And if you practise a bit you will be able to win every teamfight unless all your teammates are focusing their tank ;). To make sure they don't communicate, and when i say communicate i don't mean you should say "OMG WTF WHY ARE YOU FOCUSING THE TANK!??!" "/All Report my team, focusing tank ftw!", no i mean "Hey guys i dont think we should focus Rammus, focusing their ashe/caitlyn is better because they are so squishy and they deal buttloads of damage". Something like that.

Annie

So try your best out there summoner, in my opinion Annie is one of the best Ap carries, she got insane damage and aoe stun. And best of all she got a demonic bare of awesomnes.

That is everything i had to say, this was my first guide (hopefully not my last) and i will try to update this frequently. Please like this if you think it might work, at least give it a try i promise you won't be disappointed
