I decided to write this guide because I enjoy playing Garen as AP. A lot of people trash talk, but I have gotten plenty of kills with this build. Some were even double kills. Mind you I've never won a game with this build but that was only because my teams are always trash talking and will never help. Please try the build before down voting.

Runes

Either ability power runes or mana regen runes whichever you prefer. I have tried both and both sets work fine for me, just a matter of personal preference. You could even go magic pen, but whatever.

Masteries

I go 0/0/30 because I like the extra gold, mana and mana regen, and the point in clarity. You could also go 1/0/29 and put the offensive point on smite for extra gold per minion kill.
