Sorry to downvote, but I've played ap nasus and dps nasus before. And yes , I've tried it after his buffs. I even gave your guide a shot. I feel the damage isn't anywhere close to dps nasus because people can just walk off your spirit fire. true, farming is far easier with this build, but fighting champs is a lot harder. It's just not worth creating ap nasus for the sake of spirit fire and his ulti. Spamming spirit fire would also consume your mana fast. If you absolutely have to have some ap, consider some hybrid items like nashor's tooth so he at least has some attack speed. Sorry -1.
People walking off of Spirit Fire is one of the biggest problems this build presents, I agree, even after the buffs. You always need to make sure that the rest of your team has the CC to support you if you want to get your full AoE damage.. You can change your play to accommodate it as well, though; use your Spirit Fire to ZONE the enemy carries in a fight, for example.
Also, I've never really had a problem with mana except in lane against champs with great sustain. And as long as your jungler gives you blue, even that shouldn't be too much of a problem. Just remember: Your role is NOT to 1v1 people, because unless you have your full build, or at least up to Lich Bane, you will NOT have an easy time doing so. Instead, you should focus on farming and dealing AoE damage in fights.
Too squishy. They won't give you the chance to get near the carries. You'll die. It's the reason why AP nasus doesnt work.
That IS one of the dangers of being melee, but as long as you time your ult right and make sure your build is keeping pace with the game, you should still be fairly tanky. Delaying your Rabadons for earlier defensive items if the enemy carries are getting fed is always a good idea.
To everyone else: Thanks for the upvotes! I'll try to keep this up to date with my current build.
after that i normally build 4 tank items and just kill the enemies one after the other...
one time i got more than 1000 damage bonus on my q because i continued farming -> i did the most damage in my team
if you now how to lasthitt with your q well and farm a lot you are very strong as nasus
