Poke with e in lane and lower your opponent down while using your w to take less damage in trades, ping for a gank and when your jungler comes use a "q-auto attack-e-r" combo to keep them in place, this should either get a kill or force a flash from your opponent.

In Team fights just ult someone important such as the adc because they should be near the back and then hit them with a "q" and your passive to root them and follow up with an e to slow and do damage and chase them down.

This build works because the AP scaling on Nautilus' abilities are pretty decent and give him enough damage to compete with other laners.
