Introduction

About Me

I've played League of Legends for almost 2 years, and first champion I've learned was Ashe. A very long time I've played only Ashe the reason I've played a lot Ashe was because I felt very comfortable with her, and I felt that she was a very easy champion to learn...
And I apologize in advance for my bad English, it's not my native language, that's because I am from Romania.

What's about Ashe and why this guide

When picking Ashe to play it's important to know that is somehow a gamble, and your team should pick champions so that your team has very good engagement, disengagement and damage.
Why I've put this guide is because in many games that I've played lately I've never seen good players of Ashe, in terms of the damage they could deal, I don't know really why many don't do damage with her, but when I play Ashe, I always do big pressure on the enemy and do tons of damage, a reason could be the item build, keep in mind that Ashe is very item dependent.

Ashe basic stats from level 1 to level 18

Health 528 – 1871 Attack damage 51 – 100
Health regen. 5.4 – 14.8 Attack speed 0.658 (+0% – 68.0%)
Attack speed gained from leveling is considered bonus attack speed not base attack speed
Mana 232 – 827 Armor 21.2 – 79.0
Mana regen. 7.0 – 13.8 Magic res. 30.0
Ranged 600 Mov. speed 325

Runes

On runes I like to play:
2 Life steal Quints (For 3% life steal, it's worth early game, before building the sustain)
1 Attack Damage Quint (You are ADC, you need AD)
9 Flat Attack Damage Marks (You are ADC, you need AD)
9 Scaling Armor Seals (Some Armor never hurt, you need a way to reduce that AD damage)
9 Scaling Magic Resist Glyphs (Some Magic Resist never hurt, you need a way to reduce that AP damage)

Why i like to play with Scaling Armor and Scaling Magic Resist, well that's because I never buy any defensive item, and those runes give me, exactly the stats to be able to afford tacking some hits, before I go done, time in which I try to buy time for my teammates to come and finish the job...

Other Rune recipes that could work on Ashe:

#1 Damage and tankynes
3 Life steal Quints
9 Flat AD Damage
9 Flat Armor Seals
9 Flat Magic Resist Glyphs

#2 Damage and CDR
3 Life steal Quints
9 Flat AD Damage
9 HP Seals
9 CDR Glyphs

#3 Damage, Attack Speed, CDR
3 Life steal Quints
9 Attack Damage Marks
9 Attack Speed Seals
9 CDR Glyphs

Skill Sequence

Skill description

Focus - passive
If Ashe has not attacked in the last 3 seconds, she gains 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 Focus stacks per second. At 100 stacks, Ashe will critically strike on her next basic attack. Thereafter, Focus stacks will reset to an amount equal to her critical strike chance.

Focus is an offensive buff that triggers if Ashe has not attacked for some seconds.

Additional Information:

Ashe's abilities will not reset nor stop the counter.
After the initial 3 seconds, Ashe requires 25 / 20 / 16.67 / 14.30 / 12.5 seconds to secure her very first critical hit from initial spawn. Thereafter, stacks start at her current critical strike chance and count incrementally from there based on her level.

Frost Shot - Q
Toggle: Ashe enchants her basic attacks with ice, slowing her targets for 2 seconds.
Slow: 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35%

Frost Shot is a toggled on-hit effect.

The triggering attack will apply other on-hit effects and can critically strike as normal.
Frost Shot will not apply if the basic attack is dodged, blocked, parried, or if Ashe is blinded.

Additional Information:

Attacks made against structures will not consume mana.
The slow does not stack with Enchanted Crystal Arrow's slow, but it will stack with other sources of slow.
Frost Shot cannot be toggled-on or off while unable to activate abilities.
The cost is per attack, not per hit. While using Runaan's Hurricane, Ashe will only pay the mana cost once per attack. Likewise, she will still pay the cost even if the attack is blocked, parried, dodged or if it misses.
The slow trail is visible even if the target is stealthed.
Toggled abilities do not count as ability activations for the purposes of effects such as Spellblade or Force Pulse.

Volley - W
Active: Ashe fires 7 arrows in a 57.5º cone, dealing physical damage to each target hit. Each arrow will only hit one enemy, and each enemy will only be hit by one arrow. Volley also applies the current rank of FFrost Shot, regardless of whether it is toggled on or not.
Physical Damage Per Arrow: 40 / 50 / 60 / 70 / 80 (+ 100% AD)
olley fires 7 linear, colliding skill shots in a cone.

Projectile Speed: 2000
Applies spell effects as an area of effect ability.
Hextech Revolver's Spell vamp is reduced to one-third effectiveness.
Rylai's Crystal Scepter will apply a 15% slow.
Spell shields will block the ability.
This ability is considered to be a projectile for Unbreakable and Wind Wall.

Additional Information:

Frost Shot does not need to be toggled on, nor does Ashe pay additional mana to slow targets with Volley.

Hawkshot - E
Passive: Ashe gains 3 bonus gold each time she kills a unit or destroys a structure.

Active: Ashe animates a hawk to scout for her, granting sight for 2 seconds as it flies towards a target location. Hawkshot grants a 1000-radius area of sight for 5 seconds when it reaches its destination. The sight extends into brushes.

Hawkshot's passive is an on-kill effect.

Hawkshot's active is a ground-targeted area of effect ability.

This ability is considered to be a projectile for Unbreakable.png Unbreakable and Wind Wall.png Wind Wall.

Additional Information:

Hawkshot grants standard sight, which does not reveal stealthed units.
The on-kill effect will stack additively with similar effects (such as Avarice Blade).

Enchanted Crystal Arrow - R (ultimate)
Active: Ashe fires a giant arrow in a straight line. If it hits an enemy champion, it will deal magic damage and stun that champion for 1-3.5 second(s), based on the distance the arrow traveled. Additionally, enemies within a 250-radius of the impact take half the damage and are slowed by 50% for 3 seconds.

Magic Damage: 250 / 425 / 600 (+ 100% AP)

Splash Damage: 125 / 212.5 / 300 (+ 50% AP)

Enchanted Crystal Arrow is a linear, colliding skill shot.

Projectile Speed: 1600.
Applies spell effects as an area of effect ability.
Hextech Revolver's Spell vamp is reduced to one-third effectiveness.
Rylai's Crystal Scepter will apply a 15% slow.
Magic damage will be mitigated by magic shields.
Spell shields will block the effects to the primary target. They will not protect secondary targets within the area of effect.
This ability is considered to be a projectile for Unbreakable and Wind Wall.

Skill Maxing abilities order

At level 1 pick your W (Volley) this will help you farm more easy, because it has some CC (Croud Control) as it can hit more targets, applies slow and does damage depending on your AD.
At level 2 pick your Q (Frost Shot) you want this to be able to slow enemy champions and to kite them down, this ability is a togle ability and it just enhance your basic attack with slowing effect (if you pay good attention your basic attack animation will be slitly slower if it's togled on).
At level 3 pick your E (Hawkshot) you will need it for scouting and to gain more gold, this abilities passive grants you 3 gold for each kill, regardless it a minion, a neutral monster or an enemy champion.
First ability to max is W, followed by Q, then your E, at level 6, 11 and 16 you will always put a point in R (Enchanted Crystal Arrow - your ultimate).
