Spells:
Exhaust
Flash
Ability Order
Frost Shot (PASSIVE)
Ashe Passive Ability
Introduction
Frost Shot: Good passive slow but can drain your mana pretty fast. Q + W FTW ;)
Volley: Can be blocked by minions, usually maxed first. Can slow the whole enemy team and save an ally or yourself or just harass.
Hawkshot: Good map reveal skill, range increases with level, the "shot" can be seen. This can prevent ganks while you backdoor or an ally goes too far from his turrets.
Enchanted Crystal Arrow: Great ultimate, global range, stun up to 3.15 seconds and AoE slow.
This is what makes Ashe. Defend towers, scare enemies, kill/assist, and can kill at spawn if timed correctly ;) Just don't fire it on Shaco clone :P

I prefer Flash and Exhaust because you need the extra slow and escape/close gaps. Flash can also help you jump over walls and Exhaust will not only slow your enemies, reduce their damage from abilities, attacks AND items and reduce your enemies's resists but can also ace 'em and win a game. You can pick Ghost instead of Flash because Flash's effect is instant while Ghost's speed increase lasts for 10s. Cleanse is also good for beginners, although a Quicksilver Sash would do its job. Heal and Teleport is good if you are playing your 1st game with Ashe.
Farming is easy if you know how to last hit effectively. Your W will drain your mana really quickly if you spam it on mobs so i don't recommend doing so. Also, remember to turn off your Q after a fight, because it costs mana, 8 per attack. So why waste this on mobs? One last thing, you don't have any AoE spell or just something that will help you last hit mobs with ease so your only last hitter is your basic attack. If you follow these simple rules, you will farm effectively and have enough gold for your build. Enough said.
Ashe is a carry that most of the times goes solo mid. A good team player who plays with Ashe should: Call misses, especially if Ashe goes mid, assist in team fights ( Ashe is often focused so if a tank protected her it would be good), assist in ganks ( Ashe will probably fail if she intiates) and let her get some of his/her buffs if he/she is a jungler (blue buff will help her a lot early game). A good team player playing as Ashe should: Be confident as he/she carries his/her team to victory, try not to feed their carry, use wards (VERY important if he/she wants to prevent ganks in mid and from mid and should NOT intiate teamfight - This is a tank's job because the first one who enters the fight gets focused first.
Ashe is not banned very frequently but if Ashe is not banned it doesn't mean that choosing her is a good idea. As your opponent and you can both see each other's champ picks, It's best to pick Ashe if you think it would be good for your team. If you see champs who can counter Ashe don't pick her. OK, that was just an introduction because I'd like to say more about ranked. In elo hell (where your ranked rating drops low enough and you can't go to where you deserve to be) it's not advised to pick Ashe when there are many DPSers on the other team and, as low elo players don't tend to help a lot in team fights, they (the enemy) will all focus on constant killing. In high elo, where most players play like real team players, you can pick Ashe even if the whole enemy team is made of heavy DPSers and AP burst based casters (you can harass less easily but at least your teammates will help in teamfights)
