Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
For runes i would take attacks speed marks because most of your damage relies on Auto-Attacks. Next I take armor seals for armor. I take scaling CDR glyphs because the CDR helps with abilities. Lastly I take Movement Speed Quints because your going to roam a lot to collect chimes, and could help you in chases.

Traveler's call: This is Bard passive, and one of his two damaging abilities. Passivley you spawn chimes around the map. Every 5 chimes it upgrades your meeps. Meeps are creatures that
spawns every few seconds that makes his next basic attack deal more damage. This can infinitly scale, but it takes a while to collect chimes.
Cosmic binding: This ability is your other of two damage sources. When hitting an enemy champion it deal magic damage and slows them, but is if you hit them and then it hits a wall and other enemy they are stunned.
Caretakers's shrine: This ability can place up to 3 shrines that can heal you, and give movement speed. If you wait 10 seconds the shrine will heal more. If you are being chased this ability can be used for an extra burst of movement speed and a heal.
Magical journey: this ability makes a portal that can go through walls. It can be used to save allies, lead enemies into a trap, or to go through a wall when roaming.
Tempered fate: This ability creates a large which is basically an AOE Zhonya's. This ability can be used to catch enemies, freeze enemies chasing you(or sometimes to troll :/).
Sorcerer's shoes: It give movement speed and magic penetration so its good.
Liandry's torment: This items should be one of you first items. It gives health and Ap which is good on bard. The passive damage works well with with because once his meeps get upgraded enough they deal AOE damage and slow which boost the damage of liandry's.
Luden's echo: This item is good on because 100 ap and 5% movemnet speed which is good on . The passive also gives extra burst which helps.
Lich Bane: this item works well with Bard because because it deals damage on hit equal to 50% of you ap. It also give Movement speed and CDR which are also good on
Nashor's tooth: This items is good on because it give attack speed which helps with Auto-Attacks. Your Auto-Attack also deal 15% of you Ap which is good. Also gives CDR.
Zhonya's hourglass: This item give Ap and armor sooooo thats good. And it an active where for 2.5 seconds you get bard ulted.
Rabadon's deathcap: ALOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT more Ap.
Guardian angel: Gives 50 armor and magic resist, and when you die you revive with 30% of your max Hp.
Poke with Q and Passive. Farm. Go around collecting as many chimes as possible.
Roam around collecting more chimes and help out your teammates. Also use your ult to help.
Kill people with your damage in duel's and teamfights. Use your ult correctly.
