This Build Guide

Hi my name is Titangrille and i wanted to share my first Build on Mobafire. The Build itself is pretty fun. Who doesnt like to deal up to 920 damage and still have 3000 Health? In this guide i dont speak about Aatrox himself and his Abilitys. The build shows why some of the items are usefull on Aatrox and how you deal this amount of dmg.

Why Crit and Tank?

Here are some Pros and Cons with this Build

Pros:

+High Damage
+Still high Sustain
+Great Tankyness
+Good Waveclear
+1v1 potential against Everyone
+Easy to stick on enemy

Cons:

-Items are too expensive
-Vulnerable to CC
-Maybe to much AD-Crit in Teamcombo
-Bad in Teamfights
-Weak in Early-Game
-You need to decide between Tankyness and Damage

Items

The reasons why i buy these items with Aatrox:

-Phantomdancer really helps at the Laningphase, because with the passive you take less damge from your oponent and the Attackspeed is good for healing with your W. The 5% Bonus movementspeed on Aatrox is nice to get on your lane faster and roam more efficent.

-Frozen Mallet gives you the Tankyness and Follow-up you need to hunt down enemy Targets.

-Statikks gives great waveclear with its passive and more Attackspeed and Crit. The bonus movement speed does help alot to follow-up.

-With Randuins every Champ with no escapes will fear you, due to the tankyness and the fact that that they cant run away from you, because of the active that slows enemy targets.

-Spirit Visage passive makes Aatrox W even better, and there is nothing wrong with more tankyness. Great item against AP-Tanks.

-Infinity Edge is the last item to build on Aatrox. The passive makes your Crit even stronger and you should have a crit.chance of 80% by now. GG

-Banshees Veil is only good against Burst AP-Champs.

-Aatrox greatest weakness is his vulnerability to Hard CC. Mercurys Treads will help you alot. I recommend these boots the most, because the ist almost always a CC-Champion in the enemy team.

-The Bersekers Greaves are just to have fun with over 2.5 Attackspeed, but i dont recommend these.

-The best enchantment for Aatrox. Furor will give you even more follow-up.

The Problem with this Build is:
Do you want to go for the extra Damage or both Armor and Magic Resistance. I recommend to adjust on the enemy team composition and whos fed.

Masteries

The Resolve tree will help you trough the Earlygame and Grasp of the Undying gives use even more sustain. In the Ferocity tree i go for the attackspeed and double edged sword to be deadlier. The last 6 pionts can go into Natural Talent and Bounty Hunter if you gonna wreck them, but i recommend Vampirism for even more sustain and Opressor, because our E, Frozem Mallet and Randuins Omen slow the enemy.

Runes

I like playing Aatrox with.
9x Mark of Armorpen
3x Quint of Attackspeed or 3x Quint of Crit Damage.

For Glyphs and Seals i adjust myself to my lane oponent.
Against AD:
9x Seal of flat Armor
9x Glyph of scaling Magicresist

Against AP:
9x Glyph of flat Magicresist
9x Seal of scaling Armor

The 1-Crit-Wonder

The 920 Critdamage comes from the Blood Price. This ability will make every 3rd autoattack deal extra damage when activated. Here is the math:
(BaseDmg at lv.18+Infinity Edge+Frozen Mallet+Blood Price+Infinity Edge+Frozen Mallet, because of 100% extra AD scaling on Blood Price)x2,5 because of crit with Infinity Edge=1437
Now lets say the enemy adc has about 50 Armor the Aatrox will deal 1437dmg x 0,66=948Dmg.
Wow.

Also when Aatrox hits lv. 18 and Blood Well is fully carged he has a Attackspeed of 0,98+0,55+0,45+0,35 = 2,33 Autoattacks per Second

Health at lv.18 when full build with Frozen Mallet and Randuins Omen:
1983+650+500 =3133 HP and 149 Armor. i didnt include the runes and Masteries for alle the math i did.
