Introduction

Darius is one of those champions who just loves to get close and personal with people. With my experience, he can get quite annoying to play against and pretty fun to play as. I guess here's a little brief description on how everything works with this champion. Darius can be played as a solo top or jungle.

Pros / Cons

Pros
+Good close-up fighter.
+Strong early game
+No need for that Last Whisper
+Easy to harass others
+Way too easy to kill squishies and pick up kills

Cons
-Easy to get killed when skills on cooldown
-Easily kited
-CCs aren't that great (reason why I buy Trinity Force)

Runes

For runes, I just go with some flat damage marks/quints, flat armor seals, and flat mr glyphs. I go with these runes mainly for a better start over other people. Later on they may not be as useful, so you can swap them out with their per level equivalents.

Masteries

These are just some basic ad fighter/bruiser masteries I use to maintain my ad/tank build.

Items

This is a completely optional build for Darius. I honestly prefer this over the others, since I've done remarkably well with it in the past. I usually start with building a phage first, getting boots of speed afterwards. After that I'll pick up a sheen and eventually finish my triforce. I recommend either get your vampiric scepter next or you can go on and start working on your infinity edge. Afterwards I would recommend to start getting a bit tanky and bumping up your sustain along with adding damage. I recommend grabbing a warmogs for the hp and build an atmas to bump your crit rate up and to make all that extra hp worthwhile. If their team consists of mostly AP champs I would say replace atma's with a maw of malmortius. And last I top it all off by turning that vampiric scepter into a bloodthirster since it isn't needed early on. That basically sums it all up.

Skill Sequence

The skill sequence isn't complicated and there isn't really much to it, getting atleast 1 pt in each by 6, and maxing out Q by 9, so basically this order: Q E W Q Q R Q W Q W R W W E E R E E

Why that order? Early on, the majority of your damage/harass comes from your Q, plus it also has range, while your W is just a small crowd control harass thing that helps ensure the kill. Your E is just a pull and also gives you a percentage of armor pen that will probably soon get nerfed. (They may change it to flat armor pen instead of a percentage)

Summoner Spells

I just grab ignite to help clean up kills and I prefer Flash over Ghost since I can catch some people off guard with it and I can use it to clean up kills as well :)

Farming

Farming with Darius is quite easy. You basically just last hit and clean up minion waves with your Q. There's nothing to it at all.

Summary

Darius isn't all that hard to play, you just have to be smart and use your skills wisely. You can easily pick up a ton of kills and carry your team to victory. A lot of people recommend building him tanky, but I don't. The tanky build cuts out alot of good damage items. That's pretty much it to the guide, sorry if I left out some details, I'm not that great at explaining things. If you have any questions feel free to contact me ingame or on xfire.
