I would like to welcome you all to my Darius build. This is my first build on mobafire and im hoping to add more to this sooner or later. This isn't the garunteed best build out their but its how i like to play him, and it works for me

Pros
-Hits like a bus
- His ult uses TRUE DAMAGE
-His bleed stacks
-Has a slow
-Lots of burst
Cons
-Will most likely get focused
-Not alot of gap closing
-Weak if you cant figure out how to handle ranged harass

The summoner spells i find most effective are Ghost and Ignite. Ghost is by far the only gap closer that you have.

Flash is also a good alternative, for getting out of those sticky situations.

you can use beserker greaves or mercury treads instead of ninja tabis depending on the situation.
beserker greaves give you a AS bonus(25%)
mercury treads give you tenacity(+35) and MR(25)
ninja tabis reduces damage taken from non-turret basic attacks by 10% and give you armor(25)

Seal of Armor-gives you that extra bit of armor that you need during the game for more sustain.
Mark of Attack Damage-gives you batter damage output early game for easier kills.
Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist- gives you MR evenly through out the game for better sustain
Quintessence of Movement Speed- helps to close the gaps since Darius doesnt have any gap closers
Personally i just use a full page of AD for that extra early game lead.
the Seal of Armor and Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist are very helpful items for darius because he it not very tanking to begin with.

For items no matter what build you pick i would recommend getting a Shurelya's Battlesong which gives you the obvious bonuses and advantages.
Frozen Mallet- this gives you an additional ad bonus(20) and 700hp that helps to become a more tanky Darius. It also has a slowing effect(40% for 2.5 seconds)
Infinity Edge- gives you an additional(80 damage), 25 critical strike chance and 50% crit damage, this gives you a hefty chunk of you final AD
Randuin's Omen- this gives you 75 armor, 350 health, and 25 health regeneration. its passive gives you 5% CDR and a 20% chance to slow the attackes movement and attack speed by 35% for 3 seconds. its active gives you a edge in battle by slowing the AS AND MS of all surrounding enemies, by 35% for 2 seconds plues 0.5 seconds for every 100 armor and mr(combined)(1.5 seconds)

Darius has no problem stomping most champions in the teeth but this is a list of some possible counters to his teeth stomping.
Kennen- he out speeds Darius easy, lots of harass, and tons of CC
Riven- she can easily engage and disengage, has shield to block damage, and a powerfull stun.
Fiora- she cant deflect incoming damage with her W, and her ULT makes her untargetable.

any champ with lots of cc and burst is good against Darius. being able to go untargetable is also a plus
