Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Welcome to my guide fellow Darius players
I am your host, John0death, Or Kagesh in League anyways. I created this guide on a whim, as i type these letters t 2:43 am in the morning..Mainly, after succeeding in a game against multiple stunners, jumpers, and lockdowners, i learned that this version of darius i created is bad a**. Well...for me anyways as i went 28/3/12 top lane agasint a trundle, while also fighting an enemy nunu, twisted fate, amunu, and that moon chick...thing...whatever!, all i know is, i made alot of people angry and it was fun getting a triple ulti/kill.
The runes i chose are for an "Ad Friendly" set up, as in, that is used for all of my Ad carries and other champs that use ad as their main point, starting with the Ad per level...I chose these runes, as flat ad runes are nice at the start, but drop off near the end game as you have to buy items to get more, So with per level runes, i get stronger as the match goes on till max level
The flat armor however, is a different story, as with added armor in the begining, laning agaisnt an ad carry is quite easy with alot of armor and a little lifesteal to balance out their damage output
The quins, are obvious as with darius's passive on his Aprhehend already at 25% max rank, an added 10% to that makes for mininoin murdering a breeze
Lastly is blue, and essentaily, the magic resist per level is used to keep up with ap champs, who have a tendency to hurt alot really fast. The CDR is used to allow darius to get his abilities back quicker to rake in the run away enemies and to slow them down in the same instant upon return
The masteries, i called "Ad Normal" in which i get the most out of damage output without losing speed with the 4 points in movement speed. The rest is just self explanitory as to why i chose them..besides the extra damage to minoins and extra damage to turrets, those 2 i chose because hurting minoins more makes it easier to last hit, and 10 extra damage to turrets makes it easier for it to fall
Starting off with a dorans blade, you will essentailly farm top lane to get another blade, boots of speed, and a bead for that low amount of health regeneration. Using teleport to get back to the lane, the rest of the item sequence essentaily explains itself as well, though near the end game, you will most likely sell the blades for the BT and Starks, to get better lifesteal then the other way
But people ask me alot is "Why get 2 Tiamats?" After reading a little into them, i learned that if you get 2 of them, your aoe to basic attacks becomes 100% and with darius's crippling strike added onto the power (it does work, ive murdered alot of minoins with the free attack after the first) your attacks both slow, and allow you to concentrate on the bigger targets, knowing those besides the target get hit for the same amount
Ignite + Bleed = Death to your enemy while they are running away
Teleport = Easy and fast way back to a losing/dying lane
This build was used for solo top agaisnt a trundle, all you really need to do is get poked a couple times to fiegn pain and hug your tower to make the enemy think they won, and when they get in range while your Level 2, rake them in and slow them down as well as igniting them..I got so many kills for doing that, and thanks to the bleeds passive speed boost for how many stacks there are on nearby minions and champs, you just catch up to them and finish them off, or let the poisin and ignite do it
If your caught in a jam and need to run, just make sure you swing your blade around to get those stacks on things, to make you run faster and get away easier
And there you have it folks, my guide to a very painful darius build, now go out there and murder the faces off those minoins and those champs you really really hate
and please, if you vote on this either up or down, i would like a comment to see where i can improve on and what i should just get rid of, since this is my third guide with no feedback besides 1 good comment so far, i just want to know why its bad or what the problems with it are...That is all and thank you for readding and learning about how i play darius in Ranked play. ^^ Good luck out there and make the Hand of Noxus Proud!
