Master Yi is a strong melee fighter with strong potential and short allowance for error. He can scale off of straight damage, high speed, or the usual high crit. Master Yi can easily chase down foes or run from the unbeatable battles, he is extremely good in lane and jungle with good poke and good sense to take down minions and monsters.

-most attacks don't deal direct damage
-stuns are a hard counter

- Wuju Style can be vary effective for last hitting minions and gathering farm

- Meditate can be effective for staying in lane longer

-Using Alpha Strike in front of a champion is more effective while in lane for keeping a safe distance

-Even if not directly to an enemy champion, using Alpha Strike to a nearby minion can be useful for catching up

-Use Wuju Style just before you cast Alpha Strike to increase its damage and all basic attacks after

-Using Highlander will be used more effectively if used at begging to end of battle to help scale your Ravenous Hydra, attack speed, and critical chance to help you take out multiple champions faster

For the standard summoner spells I recommend Barrier and Ignite, but if you think you might have trouble in lane, then replace either of the spells with Teleport, if you think you'll have trouble securing builds replace one with Ghost or Flash, and if your jungle, you should defiantly get Smite, but otherwise, Barrier and Ignite are just fine, allowing you to secure kills and keep safe in lane, a great mix of attack and defense.

-Bursting Barrier and Ignite begging game isn't always a bad thing as long as you secure the kill, this will allow for great begging farm without worrying about getting poked, and by the time they get back you should be one or two levels in the lead.

Master Yi, being high in attack speed, life steal, and crit, cant do anything while he is snared or stun. Yi should always avoid people with stun or use Alpha Strike to avoid the stuns, as for slows, this doesn't do too much unless the enemy is ranged (Like Ashe) but otherwise he can do fine against slows and if not he always has Highlander
- Master Yi can also counter a lot of champions, mainly tanks and ranged (unless they have slows), this is because, with tanks, they are meant to surpass damage and absorb yours long enough to take you down, but with his high speed and life steal he can last long then just about any tank could.
- As for ranged, Master Yi can easily catch up to them with his Q, Alpha Strike, this will allow Yi to clear the gap between him and any ranged
